[Oliver is in the kitchen, putting the finishing touches of chocolate frosting on a round white cake. he also seems to have put quite a bit of frosting on his face, hands, and shirt--as well as some flour and other ingredients. cooking is not his strongest point. but he licks his finger and, after a second's consideration, seems satisfied] There we go! All done. Now for the note...

[he reaches into his pocket, withdrawing a piece of paper that is now also smeared with frosting. he frowns a little when he realises what he's done, absently wiping a chocolatey hand on his jeans. he then wipes at the chocolate on the note, but he quickly gives up that effort] Oh well. You can still read it, anyway... [he carefully folds the paper--spreading more chocolate as he does so--into a tent, which he sets up in front of the cake on the kitchen table. the note reads: "Free cake! Have some! -Oliver."

[once he has it sitting neatly, he takes a few steps back to survey his handiwork. he nods, apparently pleased] Okay, there's that. What else...? I should set out some plates, and napkins... Oh, forks! Maybe glasses, too. You've gotta have milk with cake... [he takes his frosting knife over to the sink and rinses it, and then he starts to rummage through cabinets. for the moment, he's focused on his task--but, unlike his recent desperate work in the library, this time he looks incredibly cheerful. he's even humming off-key snatches of music as he searches for utensils. on this occasion, he'll be glad to be interrupted. after all, he has cake to share!]

[ooc: Oliver, travelling with Ten, is sharing the canon update and has now experienced The Idiot's Latern--their version of it, at least. Also, the cake is not fantastic but it's decent cake, at least! Oliver hopes that everyone will enjoy it.]

[Free cake! An interesting proposition. Conan considers it carefully, but also looks Oliver over thoughtfully.

... he has definitely been baking, there is no doubt about that. Even so, it might be possible that something has been added to the cake, as it was to the Halloween candies.]

Oh..! [Marta is staring wide-eyed at the cake.] Oliver! You made this? It looks so delicious!

Yeah! [at the sound of her voice, Oliver turns to beam at her] Have some! Here, let me get you a plate... [he goes back to rummaging in the cabinet. he wishes things would stay put in this kitchen]

Gwen! [Oliver turns to her, beaming happily] We just saved the world! Well, the country at least, and probably the world. Want some cake?

Rory! [but his excitement shifts into a pouting expression. he's a little offended by that] 'Course it's safe! I can bake, you know.

Yeah! [Oliver turns to Mu with a grin] Want some? I could make some tea, too. Or milk. Milk's good with cake.

No thank you to the cake, but I will take up your offer for tea. What's the occasion?

[Eye contact will reveal Mu is worried about something, but he's doing a good job of hiding it]

[Saga enters the kitchen quietly and looks at Oliver... and the cake.

A cake? Was there a celebration and he didn't know?

He goes near the cake and stares at it, calm, as if inspecting it.]

[Oliver hears him come in and turns around] Hey, Saga! [he smiles at his friend] Want some cake?

[How about some awkward in this party? Morgana (awkwardly) approaches Oliver with the cake, and (awkwardly) smiles.] What are you celebrating?

[when Oliver hears her voice, he turns and breaks out in a huge smile] Morgana! [he hurries over to her, torn between whether he should hug her, or...well, what he should do, really. he'd like to give her a hug, but he isn't sure if that would be supportive or just more awkward. he settles for putting a hand on her shoulder instead] It's great to see you! How are you?

[Oliver turns at the new voice, smiling proudly] Yeah, have some! I was just getting plates... [he turns back to the cabinet, quickly fetching those. he wouldn't want to keep a party guest waiting!]

[Have some more awkward, Oliver, in the form of Jamie, this time. He stops just in the doorway of the kitchen and watches for a moment before actually saying anything.]

Ye seem like you're in a good mood.

[Oliver turns with a grin, in an even better mood now. he doesn't realise Jamie has been waiting in the doorway, but he does see that hesitation and is quick to be welcoming] Hey, Jamie! Want some cake?

Something smells good in here.

[Oliver turns, grinning proudly] Have some cake! I'm just getting plates. [which he pulls down and brings over to the table, speaking of]
