[So he'd been dead. For how long? Hard to say. No concept of time, when you didn't exist. He'd lost his battle, his gundam, and his life all in one afternoon, and maybe in an act of stupidity or a stroke of bad luck. Shot down by his enemy.
OZ: 2, God of Death: 0.
Dying felt about as good as being defeated though. Guess he knew how Quatre felt, or Heero, even if he managed to survive death.
Duo appeared on the plane, unsure of himself and his next course of action. Knowing only that he had lots of work that had yet to be accomplished, and that he was probably better off doing it on his own.]

Hey. Heero.
[He looks down to Hilde and gives her a big smile.] Hey, Hilde girl. C'mere!
[Hilde has her tail between her legs but she goes to Duo with a big stupid dog happy grin and greets him.]

Listen. About the battle.

[His eyes narrow some. Why's Heero acting so damn cavalier anyway?]
I won't blame ya if you don't want to continue the fight.

I'm not backing out of the fight Duo. And losing the suits bought me time to get you out of there. [Not that it mattered much. Duo died anyway.]

Duo?!
[She steps over the plant and rushes over, pulling him into a tight embrace and an impulsive kiss.]
no subject
[Happy to see him, are we?--and then she kisses him, those damn pheromones just make him melt in place. Hooo-boy.]

Don't you dare get yourself killed again.
no subject
Did Heero tell you? [He can appreciate this kind of affection either way.]
no subject
[After a long moment she realizes just how all over him she is and lets him go.]

Who knew that it would turn out like this?
no subject
[Like your lifelong friend and now lover can be murdered before your very eyes. She takes his hand and gives it a gentle squeeze.]
I think this calls for a drink.

Hello Duo, how are you today?
no subject
I'm alright. [It wasn't a lie. He was much better than he had been after all!]
How about you? And Heero?
no subject
I'm fine and I think Heero is as well. We went dancing not that long ago even.
no subject
What. You mean the Heero we have here on the plane? Heh. Well now I've seen and heard everything.
[They were in love, he shouldn't be so surprised!]
no subject
Yes, the same Heero. Why is that so hard to believe? This isn't the first time he's danced with me.
