[So he'd been dead. For how long? Hard to say. No concept of time, when you didn't exist. He'd lost his battle, his gundam, and his life all in one afternoon, and maybe in an act of stupidity or a stroke of bad luck. Shot down by his enemy.

Dying felt about as good as being defeated though. Guess he knew how Quatre felt, or Heero, even if he managed to survive death.

Duo appeared on the plane, unsure of himself and his next course of action. Knowing only that he had lots of work that had yet to be accomplished, and that he was probably better off doing it on his own.]

[He looks down to Hilde and gives her a big smile.] Hey, Hilde girl. C'mere!

[Hilde has her tail between her legs but she goes to Duo with a big stupid dog happy grin and greets him.]

[Once Duo called Hilde over, he released her leash so she could go to him.]

She's carrying a potted plant that has a little browning on the edges of one leaf. As soon as she spots Duo, however, she freezes, dropping the plant on the ground. The pot shatters as soon as it hits the Plane.]

[She steps over the plant and rushes over, pulling him into a tight embrace and an impulsive kiss.]

[Hilde rolled on her back and showed her belly for Duo to rub. Duo stood then and looked to Heero.]

Guess I'm back. Hope you two got along.

[His eyes narrow some. Why's Heero acting so damn cavalier anyway?]

I'm not backing out of the fight Duo. And losing the suits bought me time to get you out of there. [Not that it mattered much. Duo died anyway.]

Yeah well... Little good that did us in the long run. We're going to have to come up with a better plan then.

If it's possible to build suits in your world, we should. Otherwise, we'll think of a way to do it with out mobile suits.

Why not? [It'd be better if they just got the remains of their suits back.]

Shouldn't be hard to make, even if we had to do it from scratch... There's gotta be something out there.
