fear will keep us all in place, so I go hunting for witches
[It is clear Morgana came in a rush. She is in her nightdress, her hair uncombed, her fingers and wrists unadorned, with a cloak thrown quickly around her shoulders. She had to leave for the Plane before anyone realized there was a fire in her room. She had to find a way to fix it before they found out, because now she knows.
Morgana sits at the edge of the forest. And though she is in disarray, when she puts her inquiry to the Plane, her voice is strong.]
I need to know about the magics found in different worlds. I need to know how they are taught and how they are brought under control.
[Morgana is done with the uncertainty, and she is not willing to have a weapon that she doesn't know how to control.]

[Speaking of fires going out, the flame in his palm fizzles since he's quit paying it any significant amount of attention. With a tiny "Crack!" about as loud as fingers snapping, it explodes, and then it's gone.]

[He takes a second to think, then shrugs a shoulder and tries his hand at explaining.] So for us, some people are born with magic and some aren't. But its like most talents a person can have: you've got to practice to get any good at it, and if you don't ever learn to do anything with it, it ends up bein' useless. Or random.

Like, I didn't mean to let that fire die like that just a second ago. I just quit payin' attention. [He grins, and even winks.]

[He's blatantly ignoring the slight pang of negativity that comes from thinking about his master.]

.... And he returns a moment later with two small but thick leather-bound books. He takes a seat beside her and hands them over. The covers are bare, but the pages are filled with small text, pictures, diagrams... and every slight once in a while, some random Eithan scribblings in the margins. ("What the hell is this??" "try this again" "THIS ONE HURTS GET IT RIGHT NEXT TIME" etc.)]
Hopefully these can help some.

"See if it works," huh? [He smiles.] Does that mean you're a mage?

Still, uh, congratulations on findin' out about your magic! [He smiles. But then, he remembers something she said before, about persecution... and the smile fades. He looks concerned.] I mean, uh... you're gonna be alright, right?
