[It is clear Morgana came in a rush. She is in her nightdress, her hair uncombed, her fingers and wrists unadorned, with a cloak thrown quickly around her shoulders. She had to leave for the Plane before anyone realized there was a fire in her room. She had to find a way to fix it before they found out, because now she knows.

Morgana sits at the edge of the forest. And though she is in disarray, when she puts her inquiry to the Plane, her voice is strong.]

I need to know about the magics found in different worlds. I need to know how they are taught and how they are brought under control.

[Morgana is done with the uncertainty, and she is not willing to have a weapon that she doesn't know how to control.]

Through practice, and from a young age. Why? What has happened?

Morgana, you're here in your nightclothes and asking me about how we teach the young. What's happened?

I put on a cloak. [As if that is the problem.] I was trained in the sword. Anyone who holds a sword but cannot use it is a danger to themselves and all around them, but a sword can be put down. A sword is something you choose.

Magic isn't something you choose. It's something you're born with. But I cannot put my friends in danger by holding it blindly and knowing nothing of how it is used.

[lamb_of_gold]

You possess magic?

[Wait stop...that's not the important thing here.]

And you want a teacher, hm?

You must not tell anyone. I will not have it getting back to Arthur or Gwen.

[She nods.] I have accidentally set fire to one of the curtains in my rooms. I can't let it go on like this. I will hurt someone or be discovered if I do.

[lamb_of_gold]

Your secret is safe with me.

I see. [He stops and thinks. Wild talents are unusual in his world, so time to do this logically.]

Did something frighten you?

[For the first time, she hesitates.] I... had a nightmare. I have had them all my life. I think they are part of it.

I see.

[And oh good lord, this is not a great situation. Its uncontrolled and responds to an emotional spike. It's a good thing Morgana is fairly levelheaded to begin with. If she were unstable or temperamental, it would be a far more dire situation.]

[Mu folds himself down close by, gaze distant as he thinks. He's unused to older students, since so many of them begin young. Even Bronze Saints rarely begin after seven or so. But it is as anything - a younger mind absorbs and accepts information more easily than an older mind. Habits become second natures.]

[But Morgana can't not be trained.]

I may be able to teach you.

[If anything, accepting that she has magic has made her more stable, more confident in herself. She is so much less frightening than she has been in a long time.] If you can, I would be grateful to learn.

Yours is something of an unusual situation. I'd imagine this will be as much a learning experience for me as it is for you.

[She smiles at him.] Then you must also try not to set fire to anything by accident.

There's little chance of that, I assure you.

[Morgana taps one finger on the other.] In truth, I have no idea how my magic works. No one has ever spoken to me about it, and my only experience is from the warlocks and witches who have attacked us. I think there are words for some spells, but it seems other things require no words at all.

Hm. Yours seems to operate on instinct, which is very powerful, but also very dangerous. You will have much to unlearn before you can learn proper control.

Though first, I suppose, we will have to learn what triggers it.

Fear in part, it would seem. [She frowns.] It has never come to me before now when my life was threatened. Perhaps it was closer because I was half-asleep?

That's very likely. A semi-conscious mind has much more at it's disposal than one may think.

[But how to trigger it now that she's awake...?]

I don't suppose you remember feeling anything except the flash of fear?

[She shakes her head.] I might know more if I could at least speak with the Druids, but they are in hiding.

I don't suppose you have any idea as to their whereabouts?

[ex_oneiromancer912]

Only that they have likely moved to the forests. Arthur has higher concerns than the movements of a peaceful group, even if they are outlaws, and if he found them he would have to kill them. That isn't his inclination.

[lamb_of_gold]

That is troublesome. How much about your magic do you know? Is it generated from the self, or the environment?

I know very little, but I think it comes from within people.
