[Heero is once again at the bar, but this time he's not trying to drink himself into oblivion. That hadn't worked out as well has he had hoped, leaving with a rather nasty hangover. While there is a bottle of opened vodka on the counter, he's not drinking it.
Instead he's using it to disinfect a shrapnel wound to his upper arm. The left one again, right under a nearly healed gun shot wound. It seemed as though every time he stepped foot onto Duo's reality he somehow managed to take a hit to the arm. One of these days he was going to come back to the plane missing an arm. The thought had him slightly amused. How would he explain that one back home?
Dabbing the wound with a cotton ball gently, he set it down once he was finished and reached for the suture kit. Yes, he was going to actually do this to himself, in the open for all to see. Not that it bothered him or anything. The bar happened to be the most convenient place to do this. Vodka made a wonderful disinfectant and was readily available so there was no need to head home and grab the proper cleaner.
Grabbing the already opened kit he set to work. The most impressive part was the fact he was hardly making a face while doing it.]

..Assignment? Heero, what happened?

If people are getting hurt, then I want to know. Maybe there is something I can do to help.

Drop it.
no subject
Fine. But, I wish you would trust me at some point Heero.
no subject
I do.

[She quietly ordered herself a drink and took a sip.]

It has nothing to so with our reality. [He takes a sip, deciding she could know this much.] The war never ended in Duo's verse. I'm helping him end it.

I hate to admit that knowing it doesn't have to do with my future makes me feel better. But, you know how I feel about violence...

[Though, she had a feeling she was speaking to a wall on this and her lack of knowledge about Duo's world disturbed her slightly. What exactly happened. She glanced back at him for a moment before taking another sip of her drink.]
Maybe I can help. Please, I don't want to see you or Duo hurt.
[Especially him.]
no subject
No. [He was going to put that idea to rest, now. There was no way he would allow her to endanger herself.]
You're needed in our reality.[But that wasn't the only reason.]
no subject
I know that Heero, but... No one should have to suffer. And..I don't like the fact that you are fighting again.

Fighting should never be the answer to conflict and I do hope that someone will stand up and say enough in Duo's universe and stop the fighting through peaceful means. I know that I don't know the entire situation but, that doesn't stop me from hoping for the best or wanting to help.

So there is no other option.

Her.. counterpart failed? How.. in the Earth sphere did that happen!? Understandably, Relena was... speechless for once.]
no subject
[Setting his glass down, he then placed his hand on hers.]
You won't fail in our verse. That's all that matters.
no subject
...How can you be so sure?
no subject
[He's going to act all nonchalant about that of course.]
no subject
Still, she wished he didn't have to resort to violence in Duo's world.]
Thank you, that means a lot to me Heero.
[Especially when he was the one to say it.]

Still, thank you. I honestly don't know what I would do without you.
no subject
You'd manage just fine.

[She let him pull away knowing better than to try and keep him there. Relena still felt that he was important to her even if he denied it.]
