... others can dream they are heroes, or that they are at some other place, they could even fly without wings in their dreams, or anything but but but a princess?! Being a girl!? Haha, the Gods must have thought it would be funny to show me how it is to be a girl-! A princess even, very funny! ...A princess... In a kingdom with dragons...

[And in the middle of his rant, Hiccup's knees go weak and he falls flat on his face... and not getting up. Toothless, the dragon who is following him, stops next to him and lays down to take a nap too. They were practicing all day after all, so Hiccup could distract himself from the 'dream' he recently had.]

To Thor's hammer... But it was so real, how could it be so real, I can still remember everything... [Hiccup mutters into the Astral floor in a muffled voice.] I was- I was going to marry Astrid...! [The realization makes him blush like some kind of viking tomato.]

[Okay. Whoa. He wasn't sure how to feel about that confirmation. He takes a step closer, taking his distance from the unfamiliar animal, but then he snorts at the name.]

Yeah I know, great name, but where I come from it's kinda necessary so the trolls and gnomes won't find you, annnd it's against bad luck too. They say. But I'm not seeing that, so it's just a normal, totally average name.

It's not. Or uuuh, I'm not sure but let's just keep it safe. [Since Gobber is always talking about trolls after all, and Hiccup himself was going out to hunt a few...]

Who, Toothless? He is... more like a cat, you see. He can't be ordered around just like that.

Well... If this dragon is any indication I probably shouldn't be so skeptic.

Anyway... Cat, huh? [Speaking of dogs, Hilde finally catches up, a ball in her mouth and bolts over barking happily to greet the new boy! She is a big Rottweiler puppy, about 80 pounds of energetic happiness.]

Whoa! Hilde! Heel!

It must he hard to believe for someone from a far away land... [Nervous laugh, but Hiccup goes pale when he spots the dog. Oh, how he loves dogs, but Toothless... Actually Hiccup has never seen Toothless interact with any other creature, so this will be something new.]

[And looks like Toothless got scared at the sudden appear of some barking thing he had never seen before! It woke him up so sudden that he isn't even thinking just charging at it, since this thing wants a fight, right...?]

Toothless!! No no no no, wait wait-! He is a friend, he is a puppy a dog, he is a friend...! Even if I haven't seen a dog likes this before, but it's a dog you have nothing to be afraid...! [Hiccup is a bit breathless as he is grabbing onto the dragon and holding him back.]

[Duo would have responded if he weren't busy trying to keep his dog from being eaten! Duo snatches Hilde, now running the other way with her hackles raised, by her collar and grabs her, kneeling at the big dog's side.] Hold on now Hilde girl! [He stroke the whining puppy on her back, trying to calm her and reassure her.]

[He looks back to Hiccup and the dragon after a few moments of quiet.] Yo? He alright now? Or is he gonna eat us?

I-I think he will be fine, now yes. Uuuuh, Toothless you are not eating dogs, right? No eating dogs! Dogs are baaad- I mean not that bad, I mean they must taste bad, but I don't really know since I've never eaten a dog in my life-- [But clears his throat when he realized Toothless somehow... rolling his eyes.] A-anyway just play nice, okay?

[Toothless huffs and sits down. His state becomes calm.]

Yeeeah, he will be fine now.

[Yeah? Well his heart was still pounding, and Hilde's ears were still back, her tail between her legs and she whined. Duo brought his hand down to her head and pet her, latching the leash onto her collar.] It's okay. C'mon.

Well... Uh. This is Hilde. [He moved around behind his dog and knelt, smiling at her.] It's alright.

Man, if she weren't so scared I'd see if she'd meet him. Maybe another time, huh?

Hello Hilde, this is Toothless. He is nice, he is just... um, slooooow to meet with other creatures. [Hiccup said, patting the dragon's neck who had already calmed down, and watched the dog interested.] Buuut yes, uh, maybe another time... At least Toothless now know her scent...?
