as the stars are going out and this stage is full of nothing
[Some of you have known this moment before.
The stars have started going out. For those on the Plane as it begins, they can see Meredith Sault alone among numerous holographic monitors, windows into all their different worlds.]
You have to prevent harm to the people.
[The Machine listens.
Every resident not already on the Plane is brought there immediately; the moment they arrive, Meredith closes down the monitors. She gives them one reassurance.] This should be brief.
[Their only warning before she disappears. The stars are going out faster now, and soon all that is left is the soft luminescence which each subject emits. Then that is gone too. Those whose powers come from their environment are without any power.
Those with good hearing might even notice that the distant sound of machinery that haunts this place and all their dreams has stopped. For once, the Astral Plane is silent.]
[ooc: The plot begins! It is in detail here. One day of a power-out to be followed by two weeks of reality-warping from those who took up the library challenge. We'll have the schedule up today.]

[Once it gets dark enough, Eithan lights up a fireball in one hand, looking around.]
So... now I'm showin' up without thinkin' about it?

But that's the past and he shoves it away violently. Instead he sits, letting his Cosmo flare up until he glows brightly, a beacon in the darkness.]
At the very least I'm clothed this time.

This has happened once before, at least two years ago. Everyone was gathered here at once, and all light extinguished. I happened to have been in the middle of a bath at the time.

[Yes that is Hiccup. With Toothless. Swearing and gods are always involved when the dragon is around after all. Especially when they are in the middle of a flying practice and daylight suddenly goes out. Not fun. So they crush, again. Though Hiccup has practice in that now so they somehow can find the floor.]
Oh man, oh man... [Hiccup pants as he gets off Toothless' back, but never letting him go because he wouldn't want to lose him in this dark.] What happened?!
[He doesn't realize, that he has other problems too, other than the darkness.]
((OOC: Just a note, that since Hiccup is in the middle of an experiment (http://dragonnerd.livejournal.com/1577.html), with the Machine's stopping, he has some issues (http://shifted-ooc.livejournal.com/307501.html?thread=12709933#t12709933) too. So he is the original Hiccup now, and Toothless gone back normal too, but Hiccup is still in a princess' body and set up.))

Worst joke ever, yes, feel free to punch laterHer footsteps can be heard as the small light coming from the face of her watch lights up her path in order to avoid from tripping or walking into something.Occasionally she moves it back and forth to see if she can find anything, but so far she had been wandering the area alone for some time now.]
Hello? Is anyone there?

Turning it on, he scans it around his immediate vicinity, listening for the sounds of the machine that has gone silent. That could be problematic.]
[dryly] No one told me we were having a sleepover. I would have brought marshmallows for a campfire.

She had been deposited here unprepared and looking a bit weary as soon as she came close enough towards the light.]

She sits back, curling her legs beside her. At least the light of the Pandorica seemed to be lingering around her for a bit longer. ]
Doctor didn't mention this in his message.
[ It seemed that her own reality wasn't the only one that was going out. ]

Oh, don't tell me you're relying purely on what I tell you in messages.
So, I take it you're all awake and not shot anymore?

thankfully though, he has his torch on him as he briskly walks across the darkening Plane, the light flickering left and right as he moves. he might not be the easiest thing to see, though, not in his black security guard uniform]

[Now is not a good time to get pulled to the Plane, and Jamie immediately tries to go back - without success. He fumbles for a moment in the darkness, but eventually finds the military-style torch that seems to come with the body armor he is currently wearing. Flicking it on, he starts to scan the area.]
Hello? Is there anyone else about?
no subject
Yup! I am and I think a few others are, if not us all at some point around the Plane. Seems to me that the Machine broke again. Listen. [he pauses, listening--as well as listening since he has a feeling Jamie has a question for him]

For one horrible moment, she thought that she was blind once more. But then she realised that the Plane was silent as well as dark. The machine - the machine that controlled this place and toyed with those that visited - had stopped.]
I do not like this.
[But she had priorities. Darkness or not, she would find her friends and she would do her best to keep them safe.
She had no light, but the weight of her knife in her hand was a familiar comfort.]
