[It is obvious that she isn't just wary of the stranger. (Leela is a warrior, tensed for battle and always wary.) She is afraid.]

Leela... [kneels down near her, but not quite beside her. she looks so afraid, Olivia doesn't want to frighten her away] It's me--Ollie. I know you don't recognise me, but I promise I am. But what's happened to you?

[She didn't quite shy away, but it was clear that Leela would bolt if it became necessary.] Nothing. Not yet. But I am frightened of what is to come.

[the Doctor isn't thinking about his current appearance when he hears Leela's cry and runs to her, his long scarf trailing behind him.]

Leela! [he slows to a stop as soon as he's near, and squats down besides her] Leela, what's the matter? Tell me.

[How can be here and look like that, when she knows that he regenerated a long time ago? Was it a trick? Was it another of the Plane's games?]

[any other time, Kaoru might have been in his school uniform or a trendy one-of-a-kind outfit his mother designed, but right now, he's in clothes that are worn and patched in places, and ill-fitting. his t-shirt is a little on the small size and his trousers are a bit too long, but thankfully they cover his grubby sneakers]
