☂ oo1 - A rather mad tea party.
[ He wasn't quite sure how he'd ended up back in this place after dreaming about it, but... well, he'd figure that out later. There was quite obviously a lot going on here he had yet to grasp. (Wherever 'here' was; he'd have to study up on this place a bit more in the meantime.) There is a pause as he looks about the Plane, a tap from his cane to the floor, and then... Break decides to waste no time and begins doing what one naturally does when confronted with a new world.
Getting tea.
Who has a random tea party in the middle of the Plane at such an odd hour of the day? Only a rather mad Hatter, you see. Though he lacks the hat at the moment. Perhaps the smell will draw you. Or perhaps the odd character you're quite sure you've never seen before will draw you in? After all, Break is something of a curiosity in himself with his white hair, single red eye, long floppy sleeves, and strange doll on his shoulder. Finally, he speaks. ]
Ah~ I rather believe that this place is lacking in the way of decent tea selections. How fortunate that I have found what I have. It will be a decent start.
[ He sips his tea. Who is he speaking to? Himself? ... No, the puppet on his shoulder. It actually moves and talks back to him, what is this ridiculousness-- ] This is terrible service to a customer! Absolutely awful!
My, I must be inclined to agree, my dear Emily! This is the worst shop I have ever seen, and it quite lacks in the way of looking like one behind the counter as well. Whatever COULD we have walked into, I wonder?
[ ... Well. He's not opposed to company, you know. In fact, the clownish person looks rather friendly and utterly harmless. Care to have tea with the man? ]

Or perhaps nothing is taking more of you, Mister Day? That does sound quite prob-le-matic! Most problematic indeed!
[ And he gives Oliver an even look from his single red eye. ] Whyever would it be so difficult when you are surrounded by such simplistic an idea? After all, you've only to simply take the chance, and you shall have it, will you not? Or... perhaps it is not so simple after all?

But we still do everything we can do.

[ He licks his fingers, nabbing a piece of cake. ]
It is very simple to take more than nothing. Surely they cannot control even that.
[ Nom, cake. ] So what, precisely, would this 'too much' entail?

[sighs] Anything they want, sometimes. I mean, I don't want to scare you or anything, but they can transport us places at will, lock us in, force us to choose things... They've even forced us to fight to the death before, but we made those matches stop.

And why, Mister Day, would you ever assume that to frighten me? Everyone dies. In the end, that would simply be speeding up the inevitable.
[ Forgive him, Oliver, for you have him ever so amused by the irony of this statement, perhaps in a way you will never entirely comprehend. As for the transportation thing... ]
One ends up somewhere eventually, after all, and I am neither in any sort of rush or any sort of worry about how little or how much time it shall take me to get there! For it is quite better to end up somewhere then to end up nowhere at all, don't you agree?
no subject
Well, most people don't have to go through dying more than once. Once is bad enough, trust me.
So...you don't really care where you go, is what you're saying?
no subject
Tell me something, Mister Day... have you ever heard of a creature called a Phoenix?
[ And thus, candy is twirled. But his gaze is distinctly trained on the man across him, nonetheless. ]
