Mr. Hunt and I made a bet a day or so past... do ignore the 'juvenile' context of it, it's purely so that I may prove a point to him.

I'd very much enjoy everyone to give their opinion on this.


Does Gene Hunt come off more homosexual than he does heterosexual?

So far the results seem rather mixed.

That's because interpretation of the 'facts' here is going to be biased, isn't it? And you have a lot of biases to deal with. Consider his vocal and adamant homophobic attitude. Men from the 70's, like my coworkers, would most likely interpret that as heterosexual behaviour. Someone from the early 2000's might think of it as a defensive move, hiding his repressed homosexuality. There's no proper evidence either way, just interpretation by a variety of people from a variety of worlds. So what you're really polling, I suppose, are these people's views of sexuality - and their experiences with Gene, of course.
