[Oliver has clearly not been having a good time of it lately. by the look of him, he's recently been in a fight. with what, exactly, is anyone's guess, considering what the Plane is like at the moment. in any case, he has bruises under both eyes, with scratches and contusions on his cheeks and forehead. actually, any later Doctors might find his exact injuries uncannily familiar. they are, in fact, the very same injuries he had when the Doctor found him in an alley after he was unknowingly possessed by a particularly nasty brain worm known as the Puppeteer]
[at the moment, Oliver is wandering the edge of the forest. his hair is wild, and so are his eyes. his clothing is rumpled and streaked with dirt, and he has a very stormy expression on his face. he's glancing around as he walks, his eyes flicking from one direction to the next, muttering quietly to himself]
I thought I could--no, he thought he could escape. Or even fight me again. Hah! [laughs darkly] Like he could do that, broken as he is now. Idealistic fool. He lost before he even started. And now... [grins] Oh now, I just have to find someone, and it'll be worth every minute in this pathetic human body. [chuckles to himself, but the sound is callous, his face twisted into a very un-Oliver-like sneer] People are out here somewhere...
[ooc: Posting again because I have free time this weekend, andFarrah is persuasive I couldn't resist the hallucination plot! Unfortunately, Oliver's hallucinations have been too immersive for him. While he isn't physically possessed by the Puppeteer, he has experienced a hallucination of being possessed (complete with getting a little beat up, oops), and at the moment, he fully believes he is. He's even hearing its voice in his head. This means that, though he lacks the accompanying super-human strength and speed of an actual possession, he is currently unstable and ready to start killing. Be warned that he will attack others--in his clumsy, human way]
[Also, if Oliver hasn't already interacted with your character since his choice last week, please still leave contact info so I can ask a question!]

Not very fast, are ye?

[Jamie starts to move even as Oliver's leg shoots out, trying to jump back far enough to having his feet taken out from underneath him. It's not completely successful, and while he doesn't fall sprawling on the ground, his balance is off for a few seconds. He wobbles, but then bends in somewhat and drops his head so if Oliver does rush him before he recovers, he's going to quite possibly wind up with a skull ramming his solar plexus.]

[he does, in fact, try to rush Jamie during his momentary loss of balance, which is unfortunate for him. Oliver is sent sprawling by Jamie's headbutt, hitting the ground hard, the wind knocked out of him]

That's not true. Ye can fight him, Oliver! I know ye can!

He'll break free of ye eventually, and I'll not let ye up until he does. Why don't ye admit you've lost and let him go?

He's already figured out how to keep ye from using your full speed. Oliver's clever. He'll be able to work out how to use that to break his way out.

I hate to do this to ye, Oliver, but...
[He's going to try something much simpler - throwing a well-aimed punch in an effort to knock his friend unconscious.]

[He can only hope that whatever is wrong with Oliver will be fixed by being out cold for a bit, but just in case it doesn't, he takes out a small piece of thin rope that he carries in his sporran and uses it to tie Oliver's hands behind his back. He can't do anything about his feet other than move well out of the way, but he's not about to leave Oliver alone with monsters roaming about. He settles in to guard Oliver until he wakes up.]

Do ye still want to fight?
[Okay, so it's a rather blunt question...]

What happened to ye before I got here, Oliver?

If I had to pick between the two, I'd not say ye were going mad. I thought I was for a wee bit, but...och, never mind. There. [He gets the last knot, and goes to stow the rope away again.]
Look, I'm sorry I had to tie ye up, Oliver.

[glances at him] You mean that experiment? Maybe this was something like that.
You're... [gapes] Why are you sorry!? I was attacking you!
no subject
Look, I tried to talk ye out of it, but it didn't work, aye? All I could think to do was knock ye unconscious and then make sure ye weren't going to hurt anyone else. I should have gotten the Doctor. He could have fixed ye without my having to hurt ye any.

...Besides, even if ye were actually possessed again, I'd not leave ye alone in this place right now.
[He shudders a little and - now that he's not distracted by the fighting - looks about uneasily.] Nothing's safe anymore.
