[currently, the Doctor is crawling on the floor in the entrance of the ballroom, occasionally stopping to look and feel under the couches for something. he doesn't show it, but he's been rather shaken up--and he certainly is not happy]

Come on out! I know you're here somewhere. You've got to be! I felt you before you--[he pauses, his hand suddenly darting under a plush chair]--did whatever you did a few moments ago.

[ Sefton rubs a hand over his face while he recalls all the crazy crap. He doesn't say anything for a moment, then sighs and prepares himself for giving the cliff notes version of a year on the Plane. ]

Right, um... well, I first showed up here when everybody was trapped at the hot springs... there were some weird rings then, but I dunno what was up with that. Then some people got tarot cards, 'n they made the people that got 'em all... weird. That was November, 'n they didn't go away 'til February...

It snowed 'round Christmas, and there were some stars people were wishing on. Um... What else? Oh, I— [ fffff ] I was a kid for a while. Then there was a maze... and I, um, switched bodies with a friend of mine, and... then this.

[ Thank goodness Ten was asking about the Plane, or that would have been even worse of an infodump. ]

Guess there was the deathmatches like you said, but I... I didn't realize 'til they were over.

[bit_impossible]

[he doesn't speak for a moment as he takes in that information] So anything goes... How long were people trapped in the hot springs?

I had to look that up, I hope you're happy.

... um. About two and a half weeks, I think?

Hmmm, so we could very well be trapped here for a similar time span. Looks like I should find a place to hang my coat up after all.

But my biggest concern is what's going to happen to you lot. [actually, that tends to be his highest priority in any given situation, anyway]

Yeah, s' what I'm afraid of. [ ... not exactly what he meant to say, ugh. ]

Nope! That just sounds silly. At least we're not all confined in the same place again. For one, that dragon might find it a bit cramped.

Dragon?

Yep! Beautiful old thing. And he can talk! Couldn't believe it until, well, he opened his mouth.

[polarization]

... [ Sigh. ] This place just keeps getting crazier.

Well, a little madness never harmed anyone, and besides! Never know when a dragon might come in handy.

[polarization]

Never know when a dragon might get hungry, either...

Well, I'm hoping he'll help us with our creature problems out on the Plane proper. Not exactly tasty, though, I'm sure. [rubs the back of his neck]

Maybe he'll just roast 'em.

[bit_impossible]

He could, but why? Don't know about you, but the smell alone could be stuck in your nostrils for days! That's not exactly what I want to smell the entire time we're trapped here.

[polarization]

S' better 'n getting grabbed by one.

[bit_impossible]

Well yes. I'm not exactly keen to be grabbed by one either. Thankfully, I'm a fast runner! [jumps to his feet and holds his hand out to Sefton]

[polarization]

[ Just... gives him a Look. :| He neither takes the hand nor stands up. Ew, physical contact. ]

[bit_impossible]

[he gives him a look of his own, then shrugs] Fine, stay there. But you'd better move soon or else that hand will come back and grab what it missed.

[polarization]

[ Sefton frowns... stays for a moment... then quickly stands and takes some steps off to the side, arms crossed around his middle. ]

Better?

[bit_impossible]

For now, yes. But! You'd better keep moving, or it'll come back. I think, anyway.

[polarization]

[ Shrugs... and okay, takes another step out of the way. ] Could take your own advice.

[bit_impossible]

I'm moving fine enough, thanks, Sefton. [rolls his eyes and drops to the floor, continuing his inspection of the furniture, but now that he's seen the hand descend, he's going a bit slower in hopes of catching it later on]

[polarization]

[ Oh, there's a disgruntled noise from Sefton, and he moves to leave for real this time. ]
