[currently, the Doctor is crawling on the floor in the entrance of the ballroom, occasionally stopping to look and feel under the couches for something. he doesn't show it, but he's been rather shaken up--and he certainly is not happy]

Come on out! I know you're here somewhere. You've got to be! I felt you before you--[he pauses, his hand suddenly darting under a plush chair]--did whatever you did a few moments ago.

[Guess who decided to wander over after hearing the commotion (and also waking up)? That's right, the Doctor's favorite person ever. He leans over the back of one of the couches to watch him. It is very tempting to zap him while he isn't paying any attention. Instead he suddenly drops down onto his stomach to look under at him.]

[zapping him after he shared that popcorn?? the Doctor would have been quite indignant! (and in pain, but no matter...) he actually does jump back, letting out a yelp in surprise before he scowls]

Ohh, very funny. I'm surprised you're not in the kitchen--or are still trying to avoid that one person, what was her name again?

[He could have tried to knock the couch over on him instead. But neither thing occurred, so he just gives a wide grin and laughs. He stands again and hops over the back of the couch to land on the cushions.]

I was looking around in there earlier. I'm not sure I should be eating anything in there right now, considering the macabre state of things at the moment. [His lips curl in distaste at the last mention.] Lucy and no, I think her adventures in cooking have taken a sabbatical for the time being.

I hope you didn't come here for a bite to eat. [frowns] There must be a way to stop that, to stabilise you.

Have they really? All for the best. It didn't smell like the most appetising dish, but she does get points for trying. Not that she'd accept them from me.

You're too skinny. [he rests his chin on his hands and tries to look like he's interested.] I'm dying, that is what this body does and all it will ever do.

You could thank the Lucy I knew for that, if she were still alive and no, she wouldn't. She doesn't think very highly of you. Any of you.

[rolls his eyes] Really, does everyone have to comment on that? I'm not that skinny. [he sniffs, feeling a bit insulted, but he gets over that fairly quick] You can't be dying. This is you we're talking about!

But what did she do exactly? [though maybe he should be asking what did he do, but then again, he's heard some pretty unsavoury things about his other self that perhaps it's all for the best that he doesn't know.]

She introduced an unstable chemical into the mix during my resurrection. The reaction was ..violent to say the very least. [He holds up one hand, energy sparking and fizzing in blue arcs all around.]
