[a dark-haired boy of about seven is visiting the Plane, currently chasing an unfortunate(?) baby dwarft rabbit by the name of Samwise across the starry floor. this seven-year-old is rather oddly dressed, currently wearing only a T-shirt that was clearly made for someone far, far bigger than he is, as it is big enough to cover him completely. his arms even seem to be lost in it. but it does look like he was wearing more clothing not long ago--there are oversized shoes and trousers lying in a heap on the Plane floor a little ways behind him]

[but the boy is definitely not worried about that] Come here! Come play! [bounds after the rabbit, looking rather excited and gleeful. now that he's no longer burdened by too much oversized clothing, he's picking up speed. unfortunately, he's picked up a bit too much for the slick floor. he loses his balance, falling face-first and sliding along by his shirt] Oof!

[the little rabbit freezes in place, watching the spectacle with twitching ears and apparently deciding that his pursuer must have lost track of him. he stays perfectly still for the moment]

[the boy, on the other hand, is pulling himself back up with a bit of trouble--it is rather slick, and his hands are lost in the sleeves of the shirt. but he does get there and, after a quick look around, realises he's landed right next to the rabbit. grins]

Hah! Got you!

[reaches out and grabs the rabbit, but he overbalances as he rocks back and ends up sitting on his bum, the rabbit in his hands. he looks down at it happily]

Hey bunny! My name's Ollie. What's yours? [starts to pet him, looking quite pleased with himself]

[ooc: It's time for another experiment for Oliver! He is now seven and temporarily not an empath. I won't be able to tag this until tomorrow, but I'm looking forward to it!]

[pouts] That's no fun... You sound like Bobby!

[polarization]

... what?

[oliverplus]

[imitates Sefton's eyeroll] It's 'cause you don't wanna play with me.

[polarization]

I—what?

[oliverplus]

[gives a long-suffering sigh, like he's used to that sort of treatment] That's okay. You're prob'ly busy. [focus his attention back on Samwise, still pouting mightily]

[polarization]

[ Kind of stares at Oliver for a moment, trying to figure out where he got that idea. ]

Huh?

[oliverplus]

[glances at him poutily]

[polarization]

[ Glances away. If it's still Oliver, he doesn't want to overwhelm the kid with his emotions or something. ]

[oliverplus]

[this Oliver has no such abilities and no idea why you're doing that. clearly you're even weirder than he thought. so he scoots a bit closer to Sefton, peering at him curiously]

[polarization]

[ Sefton huffs, and takes a step back. ]

[oliverplus]

[notices that and grins to himself, scooting forward a bit again. he's watching Sefton intently now]

[polarization]

[ He hesitates, then takes a larger step back. Whereas Ollie is intent, Sefton is wary. ]

[oliverplus]

[and now it's a game! Ollie giggles and gives a bigger scoot]

[polarization]

[ hdlksndfsdnl Steps back again. ] Stop it.

[oliverplus]

[giggles and scoots over, grinning at him]

[polarization]

[ Some more backstepping. ] Seriously.

[oliverplus]

[pulls himself to his feet, still holding the rabbit. this is far too fun to give up on!]

[polarization]

[ An annoyed look at his feet. Kids! 8| ]

[oliverplus]

[tries to dash forward, but winds up more stumbling than anything since he trips over a trailing sleeve. as a result, he half-falls-into, half-grabs onto Sefton, putting his arms around his waist and, when he's caught his balance, grinning up at him because clearly this game is hilarious]

[polarization]

[ Sefton freezes, going absolutely still. He tries to take a deep breath, but aborts that about halfway through. The resulting exhale is a little shaky. ]

... l-let go.

[oliverplus]

[his grin slips into a confused frown. he doesn't understand that reaction at all] What's wrong? [unfortunately for Sefton, he doesn't let go]

[polarization]

... please?

[oliverplus]

[still frowning worriedly, he lets go, staring up at Sefton] Are you sick?

[polarization]

[ Hurriedly takes a step and a half away, then a deep breath for real this time. ]

No, I just... don't do that. Okay?

[oliverplus]

[nods, still watching him with concern] What's wrong?
