[There's a strangely attractive woman taking over your library today, Plane. Sirkka is indulging herself. On the long study table beside her, there's a setting of Earl Grey for four and some delicious chocolate-dipped cookie treats— all things she took from the community kitchen, of course. Sirkka has her long legs crossed over another chair while she sips her tea. She's enjoying her book too much to care about manners, even laughing every once in a while. Must be a comedy right?

Nah, just Twilight.]

This really is like secondary school.

[If one is as empathic as she is, they might detect a sort of dark, lingering thought beneath all of this that she's trying to distract herself from.]

[She smiles, a real smile and not a polite one, though there's always some mischief at the corners of her lips.]

No, we haven't. I'm Sirkka. [She offers her hand.]

[Damon shakes it, returning the smile. he is oblivious to any mischief] Damon, it's a pleasure. [a pause] I'm a friend of the Doctor's, you may have met him.

[She smiles and nods a bit.] Damon, right. It's nice to meet you, too. Do you mean the one with the ears or the one in a smart suit? Or perhaps there's another one I don't know. He's got more lives than a cat, doesn't he? But he's brilliant. I see why you like him.

[blinks] It doesn't matter which regeneration the Doctor is, he will always be my friend. We've known each other for a long time...we even went to school together. [which is totally not meant to be a euphemism, really]

[Oh, right. I mean. That's totally new information, yep, totally. She's never seen Doctor Who in her life! Nope. Despite being British and bored with some backwater reruns the only tele to watch. >_>]

That must be a long time indeed. You look good for your age, though!

[Damon looks embarrassed again] I'm only 600; the Doctor at least a century or two older, though it depends on which regeneration he is. I met him on his second attempt at the Academy.

I'm twenty-three, so I'd say you have a great deal of time on someone like me. I don't mean that to be a bad pun, though. You're cute. How's the tea?

[he's just going to go die of embarrassment now. good thing the Twins will bring him back :|] ...The tea is very good, thank you. And I suppose it is a large difference, yes. I'm used to people thinking I'm younger than I am, for some odd reason. [maybe it's because you look like a puppy, Damon]

[She's actually... thinking the same thing. He DOES look like a puppy. Especially when he makes faces like that.] Hmm. I find it frustrating when people think you're older than you are and look at you strangely for doing something age-appropriate. Either way, you seem very smart to me, and you must be if you've got a best friend like the Doctor, so whatever age-ism you encounter is something you can definitely overcome.
