♥ feast your eyes on my display
[There's a strangely attractive woman taking over your library today, Plane. Sirkka is indulging herself. On the long study table beside her, there's a setting of Earl Grey for four and some delicious chocolate-dipped cookie treats— all things she took from the community kitchen, of course. Sirkka has her long legs crossed over another chair while she sips her tea. She's enjoying her book too much to care about manners, even laughing every once in a while. Must be a comedy right?
Nah, just Twilight.]
This really is like secondary school.
[If one is as empathic as she is, they might detect a sort of dark, lingering thought beneath all of this that she's trying to distract herself from.]

[She turns the page.]
Maybe I should use it to inform my darlings about obsessive and abusive relationships. [She says it so casually, but...]
Tea? Or maybe biscotti? [Changes the subject!]
no subject
[Heee... starts to comment on the relationships bit, but, distraction!]
Sure, why not? Haven't had any kind of tea in a while. [He takes a seat next to her.]

How are you doing today?
no subject
I'm alright. [Ignoring the angst over Reiko fajdkls] How about you?
no subject
I'm all right, too. My crowning accomplishment of the day was getting out of bed.
no subject
Think you'll read all four of the books?
no subject
[There's a hint of uncomfortable sadness as she tucks a bit of hair behind her ear.] If I find them here, sure, it's good for a laugh. I don't... think they exist on my world anymore, assuming they were written in the first place. Things ended a bit messily a while before the States could choose a new president.
That's depressing, though. So you work at an arcade? Somehow I'm not all that surprised.
no subject
Yeah, part-time. The rest of the time, I work at CC Corp. Which... is a company that mostly deals with making games. [Sheepish smile.] Guess I'm just a bit incurable, huh?
no subject
Hmm. Maybe, maybe not. Everyone has something they enjoy doing, right? And if you work there, it seems to me that you enjoy helping people, entertaining them, that sort of thing. That's what video games do.
If you look at it that way, I think we're a lot alike.

Just trying to keep people's spirits up, right? Sometimes, it's all you can do. [Twinge of ANGST, but he hides it by taking another sip.]
But yeah, I mostly run through testing and stuff at CC Corp. Answer player questions. That sort of thing. A group of us put a stop to the latest Network Crisis from the inside, too. It's been peaceful in my world since. Well, so far.

[She tilts her head slightly.]
So that's where your avatar comes from?
[Personal space? What's that? She's reaching out to play with his hair a bit.]
no subject
Yeah. Steam Gunner class. [Not that he expects that to matter to hear, it's just kind of reflex for him to explain that. He laughs a little at himself.] Took me a while to pick the right color scheme and all...
[And since she's so close, he actually gets a good look at her eyes. Those aren't contacts. Hot damn, this girl...]
You have gorgeous eyes, you know that?
no subject
And surprisingly, she doesn't blush! Just continues to look right at him. That can get intimidating quick, even though there's nothing malicious in her gaze at all.]
You're not afraid?
[Don't lie. SHE CAN TELL IF YOU'RE LYING.]
no subject
And at her question, he has to pause and... honestly consider his answer to that. Still, his smile doesn't falter.]
Well, I think "afraid" is a bit strong of a word. Surprised, maybe? [Intrigued? Curious? But no, not afraid.]
no subject
[She's pleased at that response, and her smile turns a little self-serving like a cat. If she could purr, she would, but it's all in her body language anyway. Sirkka leans a little closer, a fingernail tracing over the tattoos on his cheek.]
Let's say I wanted to make your day at work a little more interesting. There's a way to meet people off the Plane, right?
no subject
[This is the most forward a woman has been with him ever, the end. Part of him is a little intimidated, sure, but the rest of him is more than happy to go with the flow. He grins at her as her fingernails against his cheek send the (very) good kind of shivers down his spine.]
I've heard of it happening, but I thought it was a random thing. We could try anyway, of course. A beautiful woman showing up makes anything more interesting.
no subject
She smiles at his words, looking every bit like the cat that caught the mouse. Her fingers move from his cheek to tracing the edge of his ear, and her voice drops a notch, low and dark, so that only he can hear.]
Mondays are awful, you know. You ought to set aside some time to have fun once in a while... and I don't mean hacking at monsters for points.
1/2
His hand finds its way up to rest on top of hers, but only for a second before he slides it down her arm to rest on her elbow.]
Hey, easier to have fun with company, right? I'm sure I can take a break from watching an empty front counter.
[In real life. ... ... Where he looks vastly different. .....]
2/2!
W-Well, H-Hey, wait. There's, uh... something about meeting up off the plane...
no subject
You'll look different, right?
I don't really mind that much, but if you're uncomfortable with it, then I understand. We could just hang out here if you wanted. [Surprisingly, there's not even a note of manipulative disappointment, just a small smile of amusement.] It's all the same to me.
no subject
[He shakes his head. That's not important.]
I'm not uncomfortable with it. I just... didn't want you to be expecting something else, you know? [His smile is less sheepish now, but he still feels a bit guilty for killing the mood.]
no subject
Don't be silly. I'm not talking to you because I think your avatar is super sexy or something. You're optimistic and sweet and considerate, and I think you want to loosen up a little just like I do.
What you look like doesn't matter. Honestly, I'm the one who looks like something out of a movie. It'd be hypocritical for a thousand different reasons if I rejected you for being 'normal'.
no subject
[He nods, pauses... then mock-pouts.] So you don't think my avatar is sexy?
no subject
[She laughs quietly at the question, still very much in his personal space.] I never said that at all. [There's a playful lilt to her voice. Somewhere along the line she ditched her teacup, and that other hand is now comfortably slipping beneath the funky cross straps of his chest.]
I'm still curious about those tattoos, though...
no subject
--And hello, that was sudden! He actually blushes a bit, but he does grin at her and laugh faintly. Hell, he even puts an arm around her waist.]
That makes two of us, gorgeous.
