[sitting at a desk in the middle of the Astral Plane, working on his paperwork like a good little nancy boy. And, like a good little nancy boy, he's listening to a broadway musical. On the glasses Fumie gave him, to be specific.

In fact, he's singing along to one. Yes indeed, Sam's singing "If You Were Gay."]

[looks up, startled, and thus saying the first thing that comes to mind] Why?

Ohh, it's a nice little song, isn't it? Your troubles are only temporary and all.

Course it is. Everything is. Don't tell me you're the sort that would want immortality?

I don't know. I've never thought about it.

Ah, well. I can promise you it's not what it's cracked up to be, living a long time. Although it's not how long you live but what you do with your life, anyway. [and now he sits on Sam's desk. at least he avoids sitting on anything important]

Can't help but be a bit afraid of death.

Not blaming you at all! I don't like it, either. I get scared. [laughs softly to himself] You're a bit depressing, aren't you? Trying to look on the positive side of a song and you jumped right into life and death.

Sam Tyler doing something depressing? What are the odds!

I know! Usually you're all...kittens and rainbows! I'm surprised at you. I think you need more Broadway musicals.

Well, if we're going with musicals like that, there's always Spring Awakening. I always did like Wicked, too, which is funny because I wasn't a fan of the book. The revival of Sweeney Todd was quite good. Uhm, Spamalot's always fun...There's this great one but that's 2028. That would figure.

Why didn't you like the book? [puts the glasses on and starts searching for the music!]

Oh, it's a case of saw the musical first and the book didn't quite measure up. I thought the play did better with the story. 'Course, everything's better as a musical.

Everything?

Only have to look at some of the things that end up musicals to see that. Sweeney Todd would probably be more horrifying without the singing. Or maybe it's actually worse because of it. At least it's catchy. Oh and the Buffy musical! Erm, well, that happened to be on telly once and I watched it. But it was still good.

I'll look that up too.

Musical episodes are always fun.

I'm just lucky I've never lived one.

Actually, they're loads of fun. Singing like that anyway. Like something out of Bollywood.

Well, if Aishwarya Rai was in it, I think I could be sold on the idea.

You mean she isn't in everything? [smiles brightly] Wonderful woman, though. Sometime I'll have to stop in and see her again.
