[Jamie has settled under a tree in the forest, his satchel on his lap. Reaching inside, he pulls out a mass of cloth, carefully unwrapping it to reveal a brown egg with blue speckles - still intact. He looks at it, a vaguely disgruntled expression on his face.]

Och, aren't ye ever going to hatch?

[He's not gotten a lot of sleep the past couple of days, having just come off a rather harrowing mission with his Doctor. It involved nearly falling off a cliff - something actually stopped when the satchel had snagged on a tree limb. He's grateful that he still needed the satchel, but at the same time, he's very tired of hauling the bag around. There's a sigh, which turns into a bit of a yawn.]

Maybe I'll take a wee nap and see if I can find someone here after that who can help.

[Closing his eyes, he tucks a protective arm over the egg and drifts off into slumber. He's soon sound asleep, and completely misses the fact that the egg is beginning to twitch. Cracks appear in its shell, and a piece of it pops off rather suddenly, pushed free by the nose of its occupant, a cinnamon colored ferret.]

[The ferret wiggles its way free through the hole, looking around with bright, inquisitive eyes. Spotting the piece of shell it knocked free, it jumps on it and starts wrestling it into submission, like you do with those sorts of things. This fails to get Jamie's attention, as he is still out cold...and might need a wee bit of prompting before he'll notice.]

Aye. I suppose so. I'm sure we'll think of something, though. [He looks for a moment like he's going to pick the ferret up, but then shakes his head.]

Och, I'll let them play. Unless ye needed to be somewhere, that is?

Oh, hey, I don't think I ever asked ye what it's like where ye come from.

I don't think the topic has come up, no. Would you like to know about where I grew up, or where I live presently?

Where ye are now, I think.

I live in Sanctuary, Greece, about an hour or so outside of Athens, and in the hills. It's quite beautiful.

[bonnypiperlad]

Greece? [thoughtfully] Are there lots of mountains there, too? And temples?

[lamb_of_gold]

Oh yes. I happen to live in a community of them.

[bonnypiperlad]

The Doctor's mentioned that, but I've not been. At least, I don't think I have...

Sometimes I'm not so sure where we've wound up. Do ye like it there, then?

[lamb_of_gold]

You should make the effort to. It's a lovely place. I like it well enough, but often find myself longing for the place of my childhood, Tibet.

[bonnypiperlad]

I'll mention it to him. Maybe he'll take me.

[Jamie brightens then.] Hey, I've been to Tibet! The Doctor, Victoria and I were there once, a long time ago.

Yes? Whereabouts, do you know?

It was a monastery. Och, what was the name...Det Sen, I think. Are ye familiar with it?

[lamb_of_gold]

Not immediately, but the name is familiar.

[bonnypiperlad]

Aye, well...I hope Greece is warmer.

[lamb_of_gold]

Certainly. I miss the chill sometimes, though.

[bonnypiperlad]

[muttered] I don't.

Er. I mean, it is a wee bit chilly there, aye.

[He's lulzing quietly] Such an attitude reminds me very much of a friend.

[Congratulations, Mu, you get a hrmph face!] Oh, aye? Which friend would that be?

My friend Shaka. He's from India, and cannot at all abide the cold.

[bonnypiperlad]

Hey! I'm a Highlander. A wee bit of cold doesn't affect me.

Tibet's just...it's different there, that's all.

[lamb_of_gold]

Oh?

[bonnypiperlad]

Well, aye. It's the Hima...Himawhatsis. Those mountains. That's what makes it colder.

Himalayas?

Cold is cold. I suppose some simply tolerate it better than others.
