☇ 05 | Here for your entertainment.

[ Seated on a blanket on the beach, looking out onto the dried up sea, was Haibara. It had taken some time for her to come to grips with herself after the death matches which was why she did not stay long when she had originally returned. But here she was, originally planning on a quiet hour or so of research while tending to the egg she had acquired.

Now, littering the ground beside her were fragments of what was once a whole tan and gold egg. And in her lap was a bright-eyed and coo-ing animal that left her rather speechless. It had it's paws on her chest and was currently nuzzling her cheek as the girl awkwardly stroked the creature on the head.

And for those beyond that glorious Fourth Wall, it would easy to identify the animal in question as an Eevee. ]

[Quietly, Satoshi holds out the badge Ai gave him.] Your friends were safe.

[Incidentally, the possum on Satoshi's shoulder is eyeing Ai and her Eevee warily.]

It was nothing.

[But Satoshi does give the possum a bit of an irritated look - or at least, he tries to.] He came out of the egg I picked up.

[And now he won't go away.]

Some of the animals don't look like any I know. It might be normal for their world...

[He's silent for a bit, and then he smiles just a little.] That isn't a word I thought I'd hear you say.

[He sits beside her, and the possums crawls around to be on the shoulder closest to Ai. Satoshi gives it another look, picks it up, and sets it on the ground on the far side. It responds by scrabbling up his arm again and sitting on his head.]

[Since he actually had a purpose in sitting, he opts to ignore it.]
People who die here. Something about them changes. Do you know what it is for you?

[personal profile] ex_fatalist246 2010-08-04 10:16 pm (UTC)(link)
All right. [He won't ask if she doesn't want to tell. He just didn't want her to discover this by accident. And then, because he thinks she might want to know,] Alynn is back.

[adjusting his glasses] Should I ask where you found that sort of poison?

[Argentine notices and comes to sit beside her. There is a baby raccoon chittering in his hair and clinging to it. He doesn't seem to notice.]

Hello.

[He is a statue of many words.]

[identity profile] artiscordis.livejournal.com 2010-08-11 09:18 am (UTC)(link)
[His raccoon climbs down his arm and sits with the Eevee to chitter away.]

Have you recovered from your ordeal?

[identity profile] artiscordis.livejournal.com 2010-08-14 10:27 am (UTC)(link)
[They are very intelligent critters.]

Humans have more difficulty with the emotional damage, yes?

[identity profile] artiscordis.livejournal.com 2010-08-17 11:25 pm (UTC)(link)
[Curious.]

They aren't you worried about the damage?

[identity profile] artiscordis.livejournal.com 2010-08-18 07:45 am (UTC)(link)
If you were not, it would worry Satoshi.
