[Emil is studying pretty hard, or at least looking for something. He's pulling out books, thumbing through them, then setting them back on the shelves of the grand Meltokio library he's brought with him.]

Nothing's ringing any bells...

[Along the way he's ditched his scarf and girly sleeveless tunic for a black tank top. He looks strangely... normal. At one point he takes a pen out from behind his ear and scribbles something down on his palm.]

There's definitely been some kind of mis-continuity, a bit of lost time. No evidence of physical trauma, so it must be emotional... Long-term memory still leaves much to be desired. There must be a pattern I'm not seeing. If only I could find my notes. [Sigh.] Now that's a lost cause if I ever saw one.

[He watches the Doctor calmly with his chin resting on his hands. There's something he's not telling Ten, and it's easy to imagine that "Alex"'s look is far too knowing for his own good, but...]

Good man. [smiles] If you do find that notebook, keep writing in it, or use any old piece of paper or parchment or whatever. That watch you have there should help, as well.

[a brief pause] Well, I said all that before, but it doesn't hurt to say it again. [stuffs the camcorder in his pocket and clutches the tripod] Hopefully the rest of your research here will help.
