dog and time lord, together again for the first time.
[In the wake of all the death and the fighting and the dying and so on, the Doctor is sitting cross-legged on the ground, thinking. Though how much thinking she can manage to do is dubious, because she is very often distracted by a border collie puppy running around and tripping over itself and going OMG OMG OMG LOOK AT THIS!!! and licking and sniffing and in general being super-excited to be here.
They're going to get along fabulously.
She's also got the broken pieces of his shell in her lap, because it didn't seem quite right to just leave it behind. Not to mention, she might want to run tests on it, because of the whole dog from an egg thing.]

Oh hello you, you adorable ball of fluff, you. Who is adorable? You are, yes you are.
[she looks at the Doctor and the shell on her lap]
The dog came out of - [she catches herself still in puppy talk mode and clears her throat, going back to speaking normally] The dog came out of an egg as well? I saw a possum do that earlier as well.

Even the Doctor can't stop a smile at that.] Yes, it doesn't seem to follow any sort of sense. I hadn't meant to take one, but I picked this up to have a look at it and he... hatched.

Does he have a name yet?
no subject
No, I... hadn't gotten around to that bit yet.

[to the puppy in puppy voice]
You poor little puppy. Did the mean Doctor not give you a name yet? You poor poor thing.

[The puppy sneezes at her. IT'S OKAY TO ADMIT YOU'RE FALLING IN LOVE, DOCTOR.
AND THEN RUNS OVER TO THE TARDIS TO START SNIFFING :O!!!]

They do not muck up your interior.
no subject
The puppy is now testing the theory that licking the TARDIS will make her like him better.]
I promise I'll keep things clean?

Hey, where did ye come from?
[He has completely failed to notice the egg shards on the Doctor's lap, unsurprisingly.]
no subject
An egg, oddly enough. As provided by the Twins.
[PUPPY IS HAPPY TO SEE YOU JAMIE OMG!]
no subject
Oh! Aye, I've seen the eggs. I'd not realize they hatch dogs, though.
[Which is odd, but Jamie likes the idea well enough. He likes dogs, and is going to give the puppy a good solid ear rub now with his hands. His palms seem to be a bit whiter than usual, which might be due to the bandages covering them. He is completely trying to hide them from Three by continuing to give the dog lots and lots of attention.]
You'll be a fierce one when ye grow up, won't ye? Och, he's a fine dog. Does he have a name yet, Doctor?
no subject
I doubt they all hatch dogs - the Twins seemed surprised enough, and Benny informed me she saw a possum hatch out of another.
[AWWWWW PUPPY LIKES YOU, JAMIE. Have some licking!]
He doesn't, I'm afraid. I'll come up with one soon enough, though. What happened to your hands?

Oh, did I scare the poor thing? Precious.
[He doesn't mention that he has an egg as well.]
Well, they're all the rage.
no subject
Yes, apparently they are. You didn't pick one up, did you?

[In a miraculous, logic-defying gesture, Braxiatel produces a dog treat in his hand and he offers it to the puppy. You're allowed to break the rules for cheap tricks, after all.]

OMG OMG OMG DOCTOR LOOK LOOK IT IS A TASTY-LOOKING THING!!!
EXCITED TAIL-WAGGING AND GLANCING BACK AT THE DOCTOR TO CONFIRM THAT THE AWESOME IS REAL!
And the proper happy faces at Brax. CAN HE HAVE IT CAN HE HAVE IT CAN HE HAVE IT?!
The Doctor, meanwhile, just looks amused. Aww.]

The Doctor acknowledges this gravely. Ish. Gravely meaning all but laughing at the AWW.]
