[Another day, another training session in the Coliseum. Today is different, though. Instead of simply beating up the dummies, Haseo also seems to be practicing defensive moves using the twin blades. Blocking attacks. Evasion. That sort of thing.

She seems to be blocking and evading very specific attacks as well - attacks from enemies that she's dealt with before. Quick enemies. Enemies with a height advantage, either a very slight one or a more noticeable one. Enemies she knows well, battles she's fought before. Not battles she wants to fight again, from the look on her face - if you bother to get that close, that is.

...

So, feel like bothering the person with the blades? :D;]

[Isaac was in the area. WHY NOT. He watches Haseo go awhile, and waits for her to pause a moment before stepping closer]

[Suddenly, there is an Isaac during one of the pauses. She looks over at him and thinks about it for a sec before replying.]

Sure, why not. Been a while since I've had a friendly spar with anyone.

You and me both. [He tugs his sword out of it's scabbard on his back and settles into a ready position about 10 feet away]

I'm ready when you are.

Heh, all right then. [She's chosen the twin blades as her weapon - this time. Shifts into a ready-to-attack position, three, two, one...]

Here we go! [And a basic attack is go, just to see what this guy's capable of. Going overboard on someone of a lower skill level during a spar - that's just plain wrong. :|b]

[Isaac parries the blow easialy, catching the blades with his sword as well. It may be a safe assumption that he underestimated her strength, given how far back he has to recoil to absorb the blow, but this causes a smile]

[With that, she backs off-- and then dashes back in for another strike.]

[Satoshi has absolutely terrible luck when it comes to appearing on the Plane. This time, he appears between an angry person with blades and the dummy this person is attacking. On reflex, Satoshi drops down and kicks out at the legs with the hope of knocking the attacker down. It will hit him in a couple seconds that the person probably isn't trying to kill him and he just got in the way.]

[---And the distraction of there suddenly being a person between her and the dummy is enough to give Satoshi the upper hand this time. Haseo is, this time, tripped up - manages to recover, but barely. No offensive gestures are made...

...though the words might make up for it.] What do you think you're doing?!

[At this realization, she calms down just a bit. It was, in the end, just an accident.]

[Nodding, Satoshi takes another step back.] Thanks for understanding. [Or not. Either way, this is awkward, which Satoshi prefers not to do. But he still feels somewhat apologetic for kicking at her.]

Uh... [Well, time for some honesty.] I haven't been used to it for a while, all right? Spare time, that is.

Heh, good point, then. You could always find a hobby other than training though, right?

Me? [He shrugs a shoulder.] I pull two jobs, so I don't really have a lot of spare time. But when I do, I go to parties or play video games.

...Video games... [Looks at you like you're speaking some crazy other-world tongue...or nonsense.] ...I think you mentioned those before. Are they really that good as a hobby?

The Lost Grounds? Well, yeah, there's that. Heh, if they're anything like the ones I know, I could always help you a bit with it. Somehow.

Yeah, they're at the very least time-consuming. But more importantly, they're great sources of entertainment. They're even starting to be considered forms of art.

[There's a hesitant pause. She's starting to regret bringing this up, but...ah, hell.] In my world, Megin Fi's a mansion, just an abandoned mansion near Coite-Bodher. There's nothing really special about it except for what I know of its history, and that's not much.

Huh, seriously? Are they really pretty or something?

[He nods.] In mine, Megin Fi was supposedly built on the back of a dragon that got turned to stone, or something. I'd have to double-check. It's been sealed off by the system admin, though. We can't get there.

[He laughs a little] Some of them are, yeah. Mostly, they're just fun to mess with.

Be better off just exploring ruins or something for now. [...Besides, advancing tech means dealing with the alchemy/mechanics district, and that place has a tendency to go boom regularly.]

After a moment of what is obviously Derp Deep Thoughts, she looks over at Kuhn, a grim expression on her face.] Kuhn. In your world, would the disappearance of an entire family from a house warrant an investigation of the house? Possibly even closing it off from the public?

In my world? [He thinks about that for a minute.] Probably, yeah, depending. They'd take into account how long the family was gone, whether it was apparent that they had any enemies, if someone even bothered to notify the authorities that someone was missing... you know?

... Damn, I thought something was wrong. [Is obviously agitated now.] Among the parties who disappeared were an ill, often hospitalized young girl and-- ["Me."] - a-an infant. You'd think the police would have more information on that sort of thing, or at least have closed Megin Fi to the public like they did in your world...

[After getting this out of her system, she seems to calm down a bit - or at least focus the agitation somewhere that isn't flipping out.] ... I'm gonna have to look into this. Thank you for pointing it out to me.

Seriously? Huh. Yeah, that is pretty weird. You really think you'll find something, though? Usually when someone's pulling strings like that, it gets buried pretty deep.

I know who owned the house. Therefore, I'm pretty sure I know who pulled the strings here. [Closes her eyes for a moment.] ... No. I do know who pulled the strings here. It's damned obvious.

[Opens her eyes again.] Nobody in GU noticed that there was no investigation, that the residents' belongings were still there. We were too busy with AIDA; Megin Fi just came up as a footnote, as it were. The mansion where a certain family used to live - that's all there was to it. I...actually didn't notice that there was something wrong with the picture until you pointed it out, though.
