[The Doctor is not, surprisingly, brooding in the bar. In fact, he's not even brooding! He actually appears to be genuinely happy, in a "beaming away like Father Christmas" sort of way...and he's humming. A bit off-key, yes, but it's distinctly "Luck Be A Lady."

There are a few bits of TARDIS machinery piled up nearby -- the Doctor is actually taking Omega's advice, and repairing them. Of course, he's doing all this in the middle of the library, utterly oblivious to the fact that he might be disturbing someone's peace and quiet.]

[flatly] The Master told me a few details you both left out when you told me about your feud. [and then more gently] I know how it started. [pauses] I punched her. In the face. [nobody messes with his TARDIS]

[she doesn't feel embarrassed that he knows, not really. part of her does feel like she disappointed him by not giving him all the details, but her expression remains impassive as he speaks. only once he's finished and he's admitted to hurting Diva does the TARDIS nod, holding the hem of his shirt lightly between her fingers]

[he smiles softly, shaking his head] I'd have liked to find out from you, yes, but I can understand why you didn't. It's alright, old girl. [hesitantly] I threatened to kill her, at first. I was so angry...but then I gave her a chance. I've got to give everyone a chance. [and now he hopes he's not disappointing the TARDIS]
