[Gene appears, a sandwich stuffed into his mouth, a cig in his other hand. he may or may not have stolen said food from a suspect currently being held at CID. he'll never admit it if you ask, anyway. at any rate, he's grinning maniacally from behind his sammich] Gene Genie: 1. Scum: nicked.

[but then to Gene] It's Gallifreyan. Just...ignore him, please. It'll be good for your blood pressure! Might as well do something good for it.

[Gene's face is bright red and fuming at this point and he's rather tongue-tied from irrational hatred. well, probably not irrational, but the Guv lets his emotions get the better of him at times] You're both bloody disgusting shits and I said stop doing that or I'll ram my fist so far down your throat I'll know what you had for lunch. [to the Doctor] And who the hell made you my babysitter, you right poofter bastard?

[pouts, linking an arm in the Doctor's. More Gallifreyan!] What, you're just going to let him threaten me? You're a horrible caretaker, Doctor.

[and Mancunian English!] 'course he isn't your babysitter. That's Sammy, isn't it?

[situation: not good. goal: calm down Gene. probability of reaching goal: ...very low] J-Just one tic, just one little tic, everyone. All right? All right. Just...breath. Now! Gene, it's just a bit counterproductive to your goals to lose your temper right now- [and hastily] -although of course you don't need a babysitter or even me to tell you that, because it's quite obvious, eh? Just maybe it'd set a good example for your Sam there if you didn't let this get to you so easily. Because then maybe he'll stop it. It's worth a try anyway, isn't it? Lead by example.

...you're both scum, you know that? [grunts and steps back, arms crossed, though he continues to glare] And this piece of shit had better leave Tyler alone or I'll have my foot so far up that poofter arse of his he'll wince just looking at you.

If I harm your DI, Gene, it will be because you provoked me.

Right, so, everyone agrees not to provoke each other, eh? Avoidance policy!

[snorts] For now, maybe. Don't think I'm letting that scum out of my sight so long as we're here.

Two caretakers? How lucky am I! And both of them passionately in want for me. [nudges the Doctor] Threesome, what do you say?

[rubs his face and mutters] You're not helping. [he'd be more 'kfjdggf' but Gene's reactions are kind of amusing]

[Gene is so brain broked right now] I do not -- I'm not -- that -- you're a couple bloody loons, that's what you are.

Insanity is the healthy alternative to being dead boring, where we come from.

It isn't so bad. And honestly, it isn't that 'crazy'.

Snogging another bloke, let alone two, is about as crazy as you can get without blowing shit up. And even then, I bet half the paddies in the IRA are boffing the blokes in it with 'em.

You're so tragically repressed, Gene. It hurts me to see you trying to hide away who you really are.

[coughs, not snorting, really] Anyway! Think everyone's good, then...

So he unhooks his arm from the Doctor's, steps forwards, and gives Gene another snog - once again, in an approximation of Sam's style of snogging (you can tell, the Master says, from the way a man carries himself).

And then he very wisely returns to the Doctor's side]

Alcohol and cigarettes. Ahh, that takes me back.

[this is the Doctor staring. And some distant part of his mind is headwalling at the Master. However for once his self-preservation is kicking in and he's quite ready to flee should Gene decide this is somehow his fault too.]

[there are certain stages a Guv goes through when he's particularly angry. first, there's the surprise, as he stares and stammers and his face begins to turn a dark, splotchy red as his blood pressure rises and the anger begins boiling over. this is followed by a quiet, murderous rage, as he gives you what can only be described as a death glare. mere moments later, the rage escapes in the form of a snarling, murderous armed bastard pulling his gun from its holster as he lunges for you, fully prepared to throttle the life from you, all the while screaming epithets about 'You fucking faerie!' or 'I'll bloody well kill you myself!' or just a simple 'Arrrrrgh!'

you, Master and Doctor, are privy to stage three. yes, even you, Doctor. because you're with him. enjoy]

I think this is when we make a timely exit, don't you, Doctor? Bye-bye! [and he immediately vanishes from the Plane; the Doctor can take care of himself]
