trois, the maiden, the mother, and the... other one.

[Someone's in the kitchen with Dinah. Metaphorically speaking, of course. There isn't, technically, a Dinah in the kitchen, but there is a River, and she's trying to make pancakes.

Trying is the operative word. There's two batches of pancakes in the trash already, and she's burning the third one as we speak. Along with her hand. River really, really, really just shouldn't be left in the kitchen alone. Someone might want to investigate.]

No one likes a bad cook. This is a clever murder ploy, right?

[deadpan] Manslaughter counts.

Depends on your court of law, doesn't it?

[identity profile] savagestime.livejournal.com 2010-03-09 03:12 pm (UTC)(link)
And what court of law are you under?

You realize that even if this machine didn't translate every language used, I speak Chinese?

[identity profile] savagestime.livejournal.com 2010-03-09 06:11 pm (UTC)(link)
So I wouldn't try to use it to obscure your point.

[identity profile] savagestime.livejournal.com 2010-03-09 06:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Really? Then maybe it's just your mind that's obscured.

[out of curiosity, the Master lets the shields around his mind weaken]

Oh, look at the poor human. Something the matter?

Hear, more like. Broadcasting on all frequencies: the sound of drums. And a diminuendo for the little lady. [he conducts it as he closes off his mind]

Something the matter, princess?

[identity profile] savagestime.livejournal.com 2010-03-10 01:17 am (UTC)(link)
What, then? Peasant, priest, or paladin?
