[Someone's in the kitchen with Dinah. Metaphorically speaking, of course. There isn't, technically, a Dinah in the kitchen, but there is a River, and she's trying to make pancakes.

Trying is the operative word. There's two batches of pancakes in the trash already, and she's burning the third one as we speak. Along with her hand. River really, really, really just shouldn't be left in the kitchen alone. Someone might want to investigate.]

[She protectively presses the backs of her hands against her skirt.] They're not relevant.

[With a loud huff, she offers her hands for inspection. There's a few minor burns and a nick where she was attempting to use a knife. In general, River really just shouldn't be allowed in the kitchen unsupervised.]

[He cups up bother her hands in his own. A moment later, his hands glow a soft gold, and grow somewhat warmer. When he releases River's hands, there's no sign of damage on them at all]

She twirls her hands in front of her face for another inspection.] Built-in.
