[Guess who's back?

That's right, the Doctor is on the Plane, in a slightly drugged haze. He's holding the cup of tea that the Twins gave him after he woke up on their lab table, but he's not really drinking much of it. He's too absorbed in trying to process everything that had just happened to him. Namely the fact that Omega had finally killed him off -- not that the Doctor really blamed him. He'd expected it, even though his Founder had saved his life twice before. He deserved it, for destroying everything Omega had worked to create instead of saving it.

Except Omega hasn't killed him, not really...he's still alive. Sans regeneration, apparently, which is a concept he doesn't how to deal with at all. So he sits on the ground, staring into his tea, and burying himself (no pun intended) into his thoughts. He only vaguely realises that he's still in the forest, near the silver Kadenwood tree where he died.]

[it takes him a moment to realise she's there, but when he does, he manages a faint smile] Hello, Diva. How've you been? [he's not really sure how long he's been...well. Dead.]

[Extremely awkward River will just be standing several feet away, arms wrapped around herself for comfort, and looking at him with a mixture of hope and confusion.

She hasn't quite managed to say anything yet, but we're sure it's forthcoming!]

[Is it maybe a little pathetic that Dorothy has been coming to climb this tree pretty much every day since the Doctor died there? Yeah, probably. But it's not like there's much else she can do about it, other than just wait.

So when she gets there and sees him sitting underneath it, very much not-dead, she lets out a long breath that sounds like she's been holding it for a while and sits down on her knees next to him. She's carrying a yellow rose, strangely enough.]

Took you long enough.

[he tenses at first -- the touch almost certainly confirms the fact that he's actually alive, and that sort of breaks his brain a bit more, but then he's hugging her back fiercely. He can't really find the right words to say just yet.]

[Dorothy takes her time in clinging to him, because YAY HE'S NOT DEAD ANYMORE, and also because fffff he died in the first place. Which then leads her to say this:]

[Kate has wandered past this spot several times a day, quite casually of course, since the Doctor died; she didn't know if he'd reappear there if he did at all, but it was, in a manner of speaking, her only lead

the shock makes her stumble when she finally sees him, and so many emotions flicker on her features

then she's striding towards, and stops so close, and just...]

I'm, um, not big on hugging. [she offers a smile as weak as her voice; she's dealt with so much, but never this]

[he blinks when he hears her voice, and glances up from his tea, his smile matching hers] Having you here's enough for me.

[she's a bit taken aback by that, but then her smile widens a bit, and she drops down beside him] ...They gave you tea?

[when he sees the Doctor there, he just watches him for a moment, his heart pounding in his throat. it can't be, can it? it must be some other version. he saw him, after all--checked his pulse and everything. so it can't be!]

[walks hesitantly over to him] Doctor?

[that's a bit too much for Oliver, as a new version of the Doctor wouldn't have reacted like that. he swallows the lump in his throat] You're...you're here. You're you.

[frowns, giving the Master a look of utter confusion. It sounds like him, looks like him, but his presence is...fuzzy] ...Master?

[the TARDIS gets the first genuine smile of the day, but it still doesn't meet his eyes] How've you been, old girl? Haven't seen you around here in awhile.

[Remus comes to sudden stop, eyes wide with shock and relief, before running towards him] Doctor?

[his own eyes widen in surprise at hearing his name again, and he looks up, nodding] It's me, Remus.

[have a Straxus, who is so very late to this why do you ask who merely watches the Doctor for a moment before finally approaching] So. You've returned.

[why no, he so wasn't worried about the regeneration thing...]

[Straxus! Have a highly confused/frustrated Doctor glancing up at you...he's figured out his senses are screwed up thanks to the Master, but he's having a hard time coping with it] Straxus? I can't... [he's up and pacing now] I'm back, yep! Good as new, all patched up.
