[Guess who's back?

That's right, the Doctor is on the Plane, in a slightly drugged haze. He's holding the cup of tea that the Twins gave him after he woke up on their lab table, but he's not really drinking much of it. He's too absorbed in trying to process everything that had just happened to him. Namely the fact that Omega had finally killed him off -- not that the Doctor really blamed him. He'd expected it, even though his Founder had saved his life twice before. He deserved it, for destroying everything Omega had worked to create instead of saving it.

Except Omega hasn't killed him, not really...he's still alive. Sans regeneration, apparently, which is a concept he doesn't how to deal with at all. So he sits on the ground, staring into his tea, and burying himself (no pun intended) into his thoughts. He only vaguely realises that he's still in the forest, near the silver Kadenwood tree where he died.]

{Diva approaches quietly, just standing nearby}

Doctor?

[it takes him a moment to realise she's there, but when he does, he manages a faint smile] Hello, Diva. How've you been? [he's not really sure how long he's been...well. Dead.]

{She comes closer and sits next to him}

Ne, that's not important, is it?

[shakes his head] 'Course it's important. [and besides, he would rather focus on you than himself]

But I didn't die.

[he's silent for a few moments] Dunno if I did, technically, since I'm back again. 'Course, I might not be...[he trails off, choosing to take another sip of his tea instead of finishing that thought]

It's real.

{She sets her head on her knees, just looking ahead}

I died here too, a long time ago. It's not even worth thinking about. It must have been a year ago, maybe more. Ne, nothing even happens, not really.

[frowns] Nothing at all? Doesn't seem likely, considering.

Your blood turns black. It looks like the stars here. But you probably wouldn't notice that as quickly as I would.

Yeah? [he contemplates that] I'll have to experiment with a bit of mine, then.

{She smiles a little} Is that so? What kinds of things will you test for?

[vaguely] All sorts of things...mostly to see if it's got any differences besides colour.

Well, to start off, it tastes sweeter.

[eyebrow -- he's more than a bit disturbed that she knows that. but he focuses on the science!] Sweeter? How d'you mean?

Well, I mean the taste. It's sweeter than human blood. Or...Time Lord blood, I guess, but I only tasted that once.

{She shrugs a little} I have to ask the Twins or people around here, every once in a while, to drink their blood. Amshel said that I can't make blood on my own, which is why I have to drink it.

[he nods, then dryly;] Least you ask first. ...Which Time Lord was it?

[Extremely awkward River will just be standing several feet away, arms wrapped around herself for comfort, and looking at him with a mixture of hope and confusion.

She hasn't quite managed to say anything yet, but we're sure it's forthcoming!]

One of the Doctors. The Tenth, to be specific. But I haven't seen that one in a long time. Ne, but when I tasted his, it was an accident.

[he doesn't notice her at first...he's too busy staring at something extremely interesting in his cup. like...the tea. :|]

[frown] You just happened to taste his blood by accident? [his tone says he doesn't believe you, Diva]

Well, you remember when I came here with that bus, right? Ne, a long time ago, it...must be close to two years ago, now, something similar happened, but it wasn't my fault, not like the bus. The Twins changed my home so that it was Joel's tower, and Joel made something happen. It happened to Saya once, but I don't really know just what it is. But I don't even remember it happening, not really. I just wanted to kill and eat everythi--everyone there.

{Frowns} It's been a long time since I've talked about it. But I killed lots of people here. I didn't mean to.

You're breathing.

[YES GOOD RIVER. Working on our observational skills, I see.]

[he's startled by her voice, but smiles a bit at the observation] Seem to be, yep. Bit odd, considering.

In and out. Standard rhythm.

[She thought he was DEAD b'awwwww. D:]

[nods slowly] Diva...this Joel bloke. Did you ever tell Crane what he'd done to you?
