[Mu is hanging out near the theatre with a pile of, what is, presumably, a cloth. It's gold, but seems a bit...curlier than Aries. He's not repairing it, since he has none of the things he'd need for that, but nevertheless, there is a tiny hammer in one hand, which he's using to lightly tap out imperfections on the surface. He seems very lost in what he's doing, though occasionally, something in the task will give him a moment's pause, or, rarely, smile.


Clearly, the best thing to do here would be to bother him. ]

Training often starts between three and seven years of age - younger, occasionally. Those with the least chance of success must be weeded out, and those remaining left to compete for the masterless cloths. The work is grueling - some may even see it as inhuman - to both mind and body, but it is necessary. In the end, there are only 88 cloths to fill, and some may go hundreds of years without ever finding a worthy master.

[His tone reflects that he is none too pleased with this fact.] It is an unfortunate fact. Most of those training the young ones do try to prevent it. There are, unfortunately cruel masters as well. Nevertheless, one must be taught use of Cosmo whilst they are young, or else they will never master it.

Can't you do something to stop the cruel masters? Do the children even have a choice in the matter?

They train at remote places around the world and, unfortunately, flourished under poor leadership from the Sanctuary. Most now, are thankfully dead.

Trainees usually come from worse circumstances.[The tacit way of saying 'no']

Orphans through whatever means, mostly. My own student was barely a week old when I found him near the base of a mountain.
