[Mu is hanging out near the theatre with a pile of, what is, presumably, a cloth. It's gold, but seems a bit...curlier than Aries. He's not repairing it, since he has none of the things he'd need for that, but nevertheless, there is a tiny hammer in one hand, which he's using to lightly tap out imperfections on the surface. He seems very lost in what he's doing, though occasionally, something in the task will give him a moment's pause, or, rarely, smile.


Clearly, the best thing to do here would be to bother him. ]

And Hades has himself and One Hundred and Eight spectres who's Surplice's are comparable to these cloths.

[well, this has certainly turned depressing. still, there's an element missing in this story] What about the people? Aren't they helping you? I mean... [eyes his hair] Are you human?

[lamb_of_gold]

Excepting one small village nearby, most of the world is entirely unaware of what's happening.

[A small smile] Yes, I am.

[frowns--he knows how that goes. he remembers getting swept up in something so huge, but knowing that nobody around him even had the slightest idea. and only Anna has an idea of it now--aside from a few people on the Plane, of course. it still hurts to think about how his desire to help the universe ended up separating him from everything he loved]

It's like that, huh? That's...rough.

I don't mind. Those who do not know of what's going on are unlikely to get involved. [Unless Hades is feeling sadistic that day. He's done it before.]

[nods] Yeah...that's good.

And if it ever got rough and they did get involved, they'd help, too. I'm sure they would do.

They can try. But even if fear did not paralyze them, there would be little they could do. A Saint fights on levels a normal human can barely fathom, let alone reach.

[oliverplus]

A Saint?

But you said you're human. You help, don't you?

[lamb_of_gold]

A Warrior of Athena. We're human, yes, but we've devoted our entire lives, often from early childhood, to training our bodies and our cosmos to fight these threats.

[oliverplus]

[frowns--that sounds like a sad life to live, being a warrior ever since childhood, but it's not his place to comment]

So what happened to your armour? [gestures at Leo] You weren't hurt, were you? And...what do you mean, "cosmos"?

Oh, Leo is not mine. I am the Saint of Aries. I'm just finishing healing this cloth.

Cosmos, I will explain another time, I think. Healing cloths is energy consuming at the very best of times.

[oops, his curiosity was getting the better of him] Ohhh, sorry! I should let you work.

It's quite alright.

Well, it's been good to meet you! But I get the feeling somebody must need that armour--uh, cloth--back.

Time is one of the more convenient aspects of this place.

Ah yeah, that's true. But I don't want to tire you out. Just...your world sounds really different. It's cool! I mean, worrying, too, but it still sounds cool.

You're not the first to say that, in some way. Perhaps it's because I live in it, but it doesn't seem at all spectacular to me.

You've got living armour! How could that not be amazing?

I've taken every breath in such a world. There are those here who travel through time. I find that rather amazing.

[oliverplus]

[laughs] That's especially amazing to you, huh? Well, I guess I've gotta agree--time travel is definitely incredible. But it's probably possible in your world, too. I think it's one of those things that's out there, but you don't know until you get sucked into it.

[lamb_of_gold]

Perhaps, but it doesn't seem like such a thing could happen outside the work of Gods.

[oliverplus]

Oh, I'm sure there're plenty people in the universe who've tried to call the Doctor a god. Probably plenty he let do it, too.

I'm guessing he's who you mean, talking about time travel. Really, he's amazing because of that and a billion other things.

You know him too, then?

But I mean Gods. Or, more likely, Titans, since Chronos controls time.

Yeah! I travelled with him for a while. Well, not any of the ones that are here, but the Doctor all the same. [smiles fondly--and perhaps a bit sadly]

Ohhh, yeah. That makes sense. I bet Chronos'd know a thing or two about time travel for sure. But I'm distracting you again. [looks a little guilty]
