[Actually looking around inspires another trail-off — in no way is it cold enough for snow. Not that he's complaining, anyway, he's dressed for much colder temperatures. In fact, he decides to take a moment to pull off his scarf and mittens, the coat and toboggan hat can stay for now. That's given him enough time to look around, but the look doesn't tell him anything useful.

Coping method A (ramble to distract himself): engage.] Or anywhere I've ever been. I don't think I've ever seen the stars so bright. That doesn't... I mean, how did I get here?

The shop seems to be a link between this place and our worlds. Fortunately, it isn't the only way of travelling back and forth.

Though it seems to be a matter of intuition, the best way to begin with it is through thinking of wherever you were and walking. Returning is the same process. In time, it will become more natural.

That's most of it, actually. People make a big deal about how different this place is, but once you get the hang of it, it's really nothing.

Except for the twins, of course. They're another matter entirely. Have you heard about them yet? I mean, really heard about them?

They're directly related to whoever is actually... seeing over this place, or something. The lackeys, I guess you could call them. Every once in a while, they like to mess with either the people who come here, or their worlds. It can get pretty... weird. Bad. Both.
