ℳℴℯ Journal --- 01

Th-Th-This is...

{She looks terrified at first--it's the classic image of a scared heroine: hands clutched to the chest and mouth, large wibbling eyes...
But that doesn't last long at all. Instead, her eyes become filled with joy and admiration.}

...Wonderful!!! I'm on the Lysithea?! Oh, no, no, it's not quite Voices of a Distant Star. This is more Macross or Crest of the Stars, definitely! Oh, I could even make a Lafiel costume! Ohohoho, that would be a lovely costume, but the white dress would be so much prettier than the uniform...

{She rolls up the piece of paper she was holding, slapping it against her hand}

This is a perfect setting for a wonderful drama! Just think of it, the sight of brave battles as young men all compete in a heated love of their countries and ideals! Oh, there would be tragedy, drama, and perhaps even a love triangle! Yes, the main character is torn between his childhood friend, still residing on Earth (and who is actually a long lost princess!!) and the strong and independent female soldier that he works with! But nothing like Fllay, of course, since that really just is indecent for that kind of time slot. Yes, yes, it's a wonderful idea! I absolutely must tell Kyouya-sama about the appeal of war uniforms and elaborate mechs! Haruhi-kun would have to be the noble and kind-hearted protagonist, of course, but we'll see how everything could work out!

...

But wait, where is "home" anyways? That store was definitely sending off the dark and mysterious type of shop like Yuuko-sama's! But the door is gone too? Yuuko-sama, if this is your shop, I didn't mean to intrude!! I really must get home to Ouran right away, and I don't have a wish.

{But then, seeing you (yes, you) she points her rolled up magazine at you enthusiastically}

Ah, you'll do! You're no Yuuko-sama, but you know the way out, right? Ah, and have you ever considered cosplay...? I think I know a role that would be good for you! ♥

Unfortunately we can't bring people from home here who haven't all ready found this place. It's not so terrible though, there are lots of interesting people here to meet. They even have aliens! That sounds perfect for what you have planned.

Does Renge-kun enjoy science fiction?

[I love it, okay?]

Science-fiction does seem like a very fun genre to cosplay. It combines costumes and exploration and adventure and the unknown!

Does Renge-kun have any recommendations for cosplay ideas involving shoujo and otome media?

Branching out is always a great idea. We appreciate any input or ideas you can offer as our manager.

I've been considering an idea that utilizes Arthurian legend. I see myself as Gawain, Kyouya wants to be Mordred. I want to Kyouya and I to learn to fence so we might reenact the battle between brothers, forced to defend opposing sides for the crown. I recommended the Hitachiins for the role of Tristan and Iseult. The story of forbidden love which cannot be denied should appeal to their fanbase. Haruhi would make a super cute Percival. Raised in the wilderness, ignorant of society and courts, he is dazzled by the valour of knights and seeks to join their ranks. I'm still not convinced of which roles would fit Honey-sempai and Mori-sempai. What are your thoughts, Renge-kun?

That's perfect! I almost cast them as Lancelot and Gallahad. I thought the father/son roles would appeal to their clients, but you're right, we can not have an Arthurian cosplay without Arthur.

As always, your talents as a manager have benefited the club immensely!

A chivalrous display of affection. How fun and noble! It's almost like we ourselves will be winning a prize as well, being granted such an honour by the winning princess.

Ah, I see. Thank you as always for the reminder.

Oh. That's okay then, it's always good to find ways to improve oneself and Renge-kun is sure to be an honest critic.

[a pause and then a genuine smile]

Thank you, Renge-kun!

Would you like a tour? There's a lot of fun things scattered all over, and I still haven't finished exploring just yet.

Of course, there's so many interesting people found here I wouldn't know where to start!

[he offers his arm for her to take]

There are even aliens here!

They don't look very different from us, I was very surprised by that. Some of them can change the way they look, one called the Doctor was telling me that there are all different versions of him here, some of whom have different faces, too.

I guess it is weird. I was hoping his name might be something more exotic at least.
