[How long has it been since this guy's been on the Plane? Over a month! But he's been busy dealing with a couple of partial mergers, thanks to Dorothy and Omega. The first is cause for celebration (for the most part, anyway; there's still that nagging doubt that it won't last) and the second is driving him rather batty, for multiple reasons. On top of that, he's been feeling a bit disoriented lately, and he's not really sure why...so he's currently trying to solve all his problems at the Time Lord Hangout Spot - i.e., the bar. He's idly playing with his Tarot card in one hand, and holding a large banana daiquiri in the other.]

[nods] I'm just a bit older; been through a few new faces, actually. I'm on my Ninth regeneration now. Last time I saw you was my Fourth.

[he'll stop gaping at you soon, really] Doctor! It's...it's good to see you! [breaks out in a grin and starts to move like he wants to hug you, but then stops, resulting in a bit of an arm flail] Wait. You've died five times!? Don't tell me you did all that in a year!

[rolls his eyes] More like a couple of centuries, at least. [and he is obliging Oliver with that hug now, because it really has been a long time] It's absolutely fantastic to see you again.

[Oliver is glad for the hug! although it's a bit weird because wow, you're completely different from before] You too! But centuries? Really?

[he steps back after a moment, grinning] Yep. 900 years old, me. [which is, of course, a lie, but he will never admit to shaving off a couple of centuries] But enough about me, how've you been?

Whoa! [that's okay, 900 is impressive enough--especially since he can't help being a bit sad that, even in all that time, the Doctor never came back for him. still, it's amazing to see him again! ...and that was a difficult question] [scratches his head] I'm fine. Got pulled here somehow, I guess.

[nods] There are lots of us from our universe around here. Well, seems like most of them are alternates of some sort...including me, apparently. There are three versions of my Tenth running about, and another alternate version of my Fifth.

[way to blow his mind--again. he's going to take a second to process that] Wait. Are you saying there are more Doctors here!?

[he'll be doing that a lot, sorry Oliver xD] 'Course there are! We generally tend to avoid meeting our selves...causes a paradox. But not on the Plane, apparently.

Oh. Well, that's good. [pauses thoughtfully. he can't really conceive of multiple Doctors in one place yet, but one thing he would expect...] Have you all worked out what's going on around here?

[awkward look] Depends on what you mean.

[raises an eyebrow] What do we know?

We know it's a-- damn it, hang on...[he grips the edge of the bar to steady himself, looking rather disoriented]

Hey, you okay? [puts a hand on his shoulder to steady him, concerned]

[weary nod] Yeah, thanks. Just been a bit...disoriented, lately. Comes and goes.

That's not good. [he was about to blame it on the alcohol] Are you ill? [can the Doctor get ill? he doesn't remember ever seeing that happen]

I dunno. It's a bit like something's....mucking about with my sense of Time. [which is not cool. He's a Doctor, dammit, not a...oh wait]

[he doesn't know what that would mean for a Time Lord, except that it sounds very bad] You mean...this place is doing something to you? Like...[whispers--don't ask him why, but this sounds rather like a conspiracy, and you're supposed to whisper about those, right?]...an experiment?

Exactly like an experiment. I think it's got something to do with these, but I"m not completely positive. [holds up his Tarot card]

[blinks at the card] What is that? No, wait. Is that a tarot card? [reaches for it so he can take a better look]

[nods, showing him the card--he doesn't hand it to him, though] Three of Wands. Fits well, but I'm not sure why we've got them.

[glances at him] Fits how? What's it supposed to mean?

Generally it means you're a traveler, going on a journey, that sort of thing.

Oh, yeah, that would fit. But what's it got to do with your...uh...sense of Time?
