[How long has it been since this guy's been on the Plane? Over a month! But he's been busy dealing with a couple of partial mergers, thanks to Dorothy and Omega. The first is cause for celebration (for the most part, anyway; there's still that nagging doubt that it won't last) and the second is driving him rather batty, for multiple reasons. On top of that, he's been feeling a bit disoriented lately, and he's not really sure why...so he's currently trying to solve all his problems at the Time Lord Hangout Spot - i.e., the bar. He's idly playing with his Tarot card in one hand, and holding a large banana daiquiri in the other.]

[Hey, Nine- here's a Sorin for you! He's also holding a Tarot card in one hand; and looking faintly tired despite himself] ...Drinking? At this time?

[blinks, holding up the card] You mean this? Didn't find it, really. Got it from a wolf-like creature named Derogative.

Some people have found them, some have them given. Can I see?

[offers his hand to the other Doctor]

It seems like a lot of people got those cards...Well, you got it from Derogative, right?

[Nine remembers the last time he saw you, Sorin. He glances at you warily for a moment, but chuckles a bit] Time Lord, remember? Can't really get drunk easily, anyway. [unless he really tries - and boy is he trying] You look tired.

[nods] You did too, I take it?

[frowns] I dunno if that's a good idea.

Mmhmm! It's the Nine of Pentacles.

I've got the Three of Wands. D'you think which card we got actually means anything?

Maybe? I don't really know. But I think mine is lucky, at least, so I carry it with me all the time.

Lucky?

{Brightly} Well I think so. I can't really say why, but I think since I've gotten it, some things have gotten a little better.

[He wipes a self conscious finger around his mouth at the wary look; most definitely remembering what it felt like to blush so long ago] So what did that time with the baths involve? [He sighs slightly and shakes his head] It's nothing really; just... Work.

[he smiles at first, then sets his glass down, gripping the edge of the bar for a brief moment to steady himself] Wish I could say the same.

[dryly] I've got a feeling all that had something to do with the onsen. [raises an eyebrow] What sort of work?

...Really? What happened?

[Smirking] Oh, such excuses. [He sighs and shakes his head] Just general things; the Elites getting overexcited about holidays, the guards needing training, father being himself... It all seems to add up.

[shrugs, taking a long drink of his daiquiri] I dunno. I just feel a bit...disoriented, sometimes. But I've got no idea if the card is involved with that.

Why would it be? It's just a card.

But yours seems to have brought you a bit of luck, yeah? Maybe it's not just a card.

[fff, he's going to ignore that first statement] Overexcited? What for?

I guess, but I didn't think much of it. I mean, lots of people have good luck charms, right?

I won't keep it. That'll make you sick, and for all I know that'll make me sick, too.

[wry smile] Suppose it wouldn't be much different from normal, even if you did take it. [and he hands over the Three of Wands]
