It's...all my fault.

Everything that's happening with Tool Toul To. If I only hadn't- Kanon-kun was right. There's no way a tuner can tune at a 2/4 ratio. Poor Makigai-sensei... Hako-chan.

Being good at something doesn't mean you can do everything. They were taking a risk, and they ought to know that.

You as well? A, ah... if you don't mind me asking but- what is it that you do?

[the natural hesitation, because it's so ingrained to keep the secrets] Well...we're fighting a war, and lately I've been recruiting people - people like me, outcasts, but not as fortunate - and helping them, leading them. Some are fighting on the front lines now; some are spies, some are researchers. I've done all three. They all report back to me.

That sounds like a very dangerous job to have. If something were to happen to you, then I'm sure there would definitely be a ripple effect of some sort. A, and if there were spies among the spies-

[wry smile] Or if one of ours were converted, or if they were caught and forced to talk, or if... [shakes his head] There are always a great deal of things that could go wrong. We just need to accept that and be careful and keep trying.
