[A messy-haired teenage boy suddenly appears on the plane and looks around curiously.]

Okay, this definitely a good news bad news moment. The good news? What there is of it? I'm still alive. Well, I'm not any more dead than I was already. And I was definitely having some doubts after the whole freaky twin thing. The bad news? Which kind of totally trumps the good news. I think I'm stranded. Why can't I ever get stranded in normal places? I mean, I could totally handle getting stuck at a bus stop or airport. Nice normal places. Why is it always some kind of endless void? Or possibly outer space? Same difference, really. Though I have to admit the scenery is a huge improvement over the ghost zone.

In retrospect, entering that shop with the weird-o twins might not have been the smartest thing I have ever done. Note to self, I have got to stop jumping into these places without looking first.

What's your issue? Honestly, did you completely miss out on the memo about what Mom and Dad were building in the basement or what? And what about that time Dad lost the house in an alternate dimension for a week?

What are you talking about? Dad never lost the house in any dimension! He got lost trying to get back to the house, yeah, but he's never actually lost it.

Dude, the entire house disappeared. Vanished. Went missing. The entire neighborhood saw it happen.

[Danny crosses his arms and scowls right back.]

The ghost portal? You know, the big thing in the wall they worked on for twenty years? Opens into the dimension where all the ghosts live?

The portal--you mean the hole in the wall that just fizzed out when they plugged it in? Yeah, I remember that--Mom and Dad gave up on trying to prove ghosts existed after that.

[And the major sore point has been punched! Danny at first looks surprised, but then he averts his eyes entirely...and then he realizes what he's doing and just goes back to his frown.]

O-of course I did! Sam convinced me into checking it out. The only thing it did was electrify me.

So when you went in, the portal started working? And it actually goes to that Ghost Zone Mom and Dad kept talking about?

I don't get it. How could you not believe in ghosts? Its not like they're hiding. What about the ghost drills at school? Or all the times they destroyed the school cafeteria?

And no powers from the accident? That sucks.

You've gotta be kidding. There are no ghosts in Amity Park! I've never seen one, my parents have never seen one, and I'm sure the school hasn't either. Unless Sam and Tuck and Jazz haven't been telling me what's going on over there...

No I'm serious. I can't go a week without running into at least one ghost. Heck the entire town got dragged into the ghost zone once. And that's not counting all the ghost invasions and smaller attacks.

What's really sad is that I haven't even mentioned some of the lamer attacks and you already think I sound crazy.

Well, it's kind of hard not to. Ghosts are hard enough to believe, but getting the whole town dragged into the Ghost Zone just sounds even crazier!

[cringe!] Uh...yeah. I kinda...fell into a coma after the portal thing. [And now some nervous rubbing-the-back-of-his-neck too.]

To be fair, it only happened once. But I didn't hear any people arguing that ghosts didn't exist after we got back.
Kind of hard to argue against evidence like that.
