Hemophobia
[Blood.]
[Dripping down every door in the onsen.]
[Human blood, rich and fresh, slipping to the floors, slowly, then disappearing into nothing. The flow goes on like a wound that will not clot. And of course, there is the smell.]
[It's perfectly real, perfectly nutritious for those with a sanguine diet. Some of it is the night-and-starlight blood of those who have died on the Plane.]
[And it just won't seem to wash off.]
[ooc; What? He was bored, and he figures that the vampires are probably a bit hungry. As Scarecrow isn't going to own up to What He Does When Given Shiny Rings, feel free to use this as an event post. That is, other characters are encouraged to comment to each other, because Dr Crane won't be responding to everyone about it. This effect will last until the end of the plot.]

[follows Kyouya out and sees that this is the same for all the doors. He takes a step backwards and goes back inside their room. After a minute or two he is smiling again]
This isn't so bad! It will be an adventure. I'm sure you're right and it's a ghost in need of our help to move on to the next world. That explains why they call this place the Plane, doesn't it? Who better to help people find happiness, even undead people! No wonder we were chosen to come to this place!

Ah, but maybe we should let them rest before we...spring something of this nature on them. This place has been so calm and relaxing so far. There's no reason to disturb them right away.

[creates a piece of paper and a pen and starts writing a note. Of course it never occurs to him to actually have the note created with their message all ready on it.
The note reads
'Mommy and Daddy went to explore the baths. Be good children and don't stray too far. If you're going anywhere, give your Mother a call so we won't worry. The doors are faulty somehow but fear not children, the Host Club will get to the bottom of this.
xoxo Dad and Mom'
There is also a bear with a crown drawn in the corner. He leaves this note visibly between Haruhi and Hikaru's cots, so hopefully one of them will spot this.]
Let's go investigate!
[one more wary glance at the doors, before he walks through, determined]

The one upstairs seem like a good idea.

[he moves to the stairway, but his eyes still drift between the doorways on their way to the stairs though, all of them bleeding]
It is reminiscent of a modern horror tale, don't you think?

I don't pay much attention to that genre. Neither do our guests.
[pauses]
Most of them.

My research has shown it to be a grand commoner's tradition, gathering around to watch very scary movies, while screaming in terror and then laughing at their shared horror!
Ah, but Antoinette fell asleep and it wasn't very fun watching alone. I had nightmares for a week after that. Shima found me asleep on the sofa the next morning and demanded I spend an extra hour a day for an entire month dedicated to the skills required for learning discipline. It really was a horror movie ending, not to mention the trauma I suffered from the harassment of those devious doppelgangers earlier that day.

I guess I could do that. I think that would be really, really nice.
[he clenches his hands a little nervously, gripping at his shirt. His ring is glowing just a little, although this isn't really very visible given how his hands are positioned]
I think this place is making me sick as well. Our illnesses seem to be in opposition. Instead of a very large appetite, at times I find I can barely eat at all because my stomach is too busy doing somersaults. Other times my chest will hurt at the strangest moment, or race unexpectedly and I'll find it hard to focus.
Maybe we should see if we can find a doctor here to examine us.

Or perhaps it's a physical reaction to the emotions you're experiencing?

That's faulty?! Not even Nekozawa-sempai would do something like that. [notices the blood never quite stays on the floor] Even if he could do that, that is.
[takes out his phone and calls the first number he comes to]

Kaoru. You found his note?

And is it just ours that's like this?

Tamaki's thinks it's a spirit who needs our help.

Ah, Kyouya-sempai, these rings of ours... Couldn't someone have created it the same way Tono has been making things? [doesn't mention he figured out how to make illusions of the things in people's minds]
