Further transformation includes what appears to be scenery resembling a traditional bathhouse. The objects appear very realistic, and are also solid to the touch. I...

[She stops for a moment, one had going up to her head, just behind her ear. The annoyed expression deepens.]

It seems as though I have lost contact with base as well as Misaki and Kasumi. No attempts to reach anyone are currently succeeding. It could be due to transmission interference, although there is no static to indicate any sort of connection. Until contact can be re-established, surveying this particular subject will be halted. Attempting egress. Termination Saeki.

[The scowl deepens further, although it doesn't seem like she's annoyed anymore. Perhaps worried is the more appropriate term.]

Hoo boy. Basically, this here - [gestures at onsen] - is the Astral Plane. It's a different world...place...thing, and it doesn't usually look like this, but there you go. People end up able to access this place, don't ask me why because I don't know, and sometimes there's other versions of people you know there. Usually we're able to go back and forth between our own worlds and here, but right now it's not letting people go back. Guess it wants people to stay here. Don't know why.

I am aware of the extradimensional nature of this place, I was investigating the entrance rift. Interesting... it must have a bridge function over multiple realities. Although how it can override my projection broadcast while keeping me within the dimension is somewhat unusual...

I suppose this means that you're a Misaki from another dimension, then.

[Kuhn's just wandering around at this point, mostly minding his own business and humming some aimless tune. Truth be told, he's having more fun watching everyone else deal with the hot springs hijinks than he is actually getting involved with them.

Possibly. I've heard bits of information, and inferred others. My understanding is this place is a "reality nexus" of sorts, currently closed off from exit.

You may also be interested to know that the people who operate it are 'The Twins' are a pair of porcelain-like beings who draw people here for their own purpose and are said to grant wishes for a price, as well as Meredith Sault, a generally unknown party. Though the information is unnecessary for now, one returns to one's world without any time having passed in that world. It's my impression that this rule holds even now, but I haven't been able to confirm that. The rings we've been given grant wingless flight and appear to be able to create objects, costing the energy of the user, but I haven't been able to research that further.

[realizing that he's gotten his notebook wet]

Where I come from, we have only just begun our foray into extradimensional science. Any information is going to be useful. I have a feeling this place may require extra study.
