[Projection-body Pi is investigating in a very serious manner. Must be hard at work. She also looks rather annoyed, but this shouldn't be news to anyone.]

Further transformation includes what appears to be scenery resembling a traditional bathhouse. The objects appear very realistic, and are also solid to the touch. I...

[She stops for a moment, one had going up to her head, just behind her ear. The annoyed expression deepens.]

It seems as though I have lost contact with base as well as Misaki and Kasumi. No attempts to reach anyone are currently succeeding. It could be due to transmission interference, although there is no static to indicate any sort of connection. Until contact can be re-established, surveying this particular subject will be halted. Attempting egress. Termination Saeki.

[The scowl deepens further, although it doesn't seem like she's annoyed anymore. Perhaps worried is the more appropriate term.]

The RA unit isn't responding..? What's going on here?

I have no idea what you're talking about. Doesn't look like we're from the same world.

Hoo boy. Basically, this here - [gestures at onsen] - is the Astral Plane. It's a different world...place...thing, and it doesn't usually look like this, but there you go. People end up able to access this place, don't ask me why because I don't know, and sometimes there's other versions of people you know there. Usually we're able to go back and forth between our own worlds and here, but right now it's not letting people go back. Guess it wants people to stay here. Don't know why.

I am aware of the extradimensional nature of this place, I was investigating the entrance rift. Interesting... it must have a bridge function over multiple realities. Although how it can override my projection broadcast while keeping me within the dimension is somewhat unusual...

I suppose this means that you're a Misaki from another dimension, then.

It's rather probable that our worlds are completely different, as far as dimensional theory is concerned. How would you describe where you come from? [MAKING SOME MENTAL NOTES THIS IS GONNA BE A HELL OF A REPORT.]

[...Siiiiigh.] Compared to some of the other worlds I've heard about, mine's pretty low-tech. There are no computers, but we do have magic. ...not that I can demonstrate it myself, aside from calling out Skeith, but I'd rather not do that for no good reason. Let's see, what else... That whole "projection broadcast" and "R-A unit" thing you were talking about flew right over my head - Pi from where I'm from never mentioned anything like them, so I'm gonna guess that they don't exist on my world - that, or there are none in Mac Anu.

AIDA was recently exterminated on my world; likewise, an entity called Cubia that apparently woke up or something like that after the destruction of AIDA. The people who disappeared thanks to the AIDA outbreak have returned.

[Takes a quick glance.] I'm sure he'll be interested to know that the first instance of non-threatening extradimensional contact is a female version of him from a fantasy-esque setting.

Yeah. Usually we're able to just think our way here and back - sounds weird, but that's how it goes. Right now that isn't working, though.

It's not that strange. As long as it isn't too long, I have affairs to return to.

It's been like this for a couple of days now, so - who knows how much longer it'll last.

[Kuhn's just wandering around at this point, mostly minding his own business and humming some aimless tune. Truth be told, he's having more fun watching everyone else deal with the hot springs hijinks than he is actually getting involved with them.

He catches an intense glimpse of pink out of the corner of one eye, but pays it no mind and keeps walking--

He abruptly stops everything, even whistling, and turns to get a better view.]

Kuhn! Can you contact anyone?

Wh-- From here? [He laughs a little.] Nah. You can't really contact anyone from back home while you're here. Time stops moving, and all that.

[He gives her a bit of a grin.] Welcome to the Astral Plane. I was wondering when someone I actually knew would show up...

So there's extradimensional interference... I suppose it would be a matter of time before we encountered a reality with that issue.

... then I suppose you're from another dimension, stuck here for the duration of this realm being "closed"?

... Dimensions? Whoa, hold on... What are you talking about?
