this is what I brought you [this you can keep]

[The Master appears on the Plane, holding a book-thing. It has "I-Spyder" written on the front, for those with good eye-sight] ---and you always leave your companion's things all over the kitchen. What is this, anyway? And how is it making an English pun when it's clearly an extraterrestrial book?

[The Doctor, appearing next to him, sniffs a bit.] It's actually an obscure Ilgerian pun based on the eye and one of their mythical heroes of the seven legends.

You know, I might have believed you if I had the intelligence of a rock. A dead rock, before you start talking about the Northern Ilgerian Society of Rocks. And one word about the reanimated dead and I'll burn this book.

[Promptly, he closes his mouth. Because, yes, he wanted to talk about Rocks.] Oh, don't stoop to book burning. I like to think there're some standards left.

'Even evil has standards'? I'll tell you this: evil isn't always confronted with--- [he finally opens the book] ---...a book for spotting various animals? Well, you can't have gotten very high; the only species you ever get near are humans. [flips through a few pages. He stops suddenly, all expression vanishing from his face.]

[Guess who just found an entry on one species in particular?]

[ooc; Join post! Red is Master, blue is Doctor, expect double-tagging and possibly threadhopping, etc. You know the rules!]

[And now he'll just be snatching the book away and clearing his throat.]

Oh, don't pay attention to that. Harmless little game book, you know.

Ah, it's you two. Found something interesting, have we?

[identity profile] imnot-hisgirl.livejournal.com 2009-09-24 02:31 am (UTC)(link)
[also, have a Martha!]

Doctor! [she'll be ignoring the Master]

[identity profile] salvagestime.livejournal.com 2009-09-24 02:32 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, of course, that's the solution. Not maybe, "I should have some tea and a sit down and forget about a silly game book."

[and look who appears after a long, long absence. (it should be noted she is NOT older) Dressed with particular care she is obviously fresh from walking her gardens, parasol in hand]

Are the pair of you bird watching now? How fortunate my plumage is properly groomed.

[a look at the Master]

And before any comment is made amount my sex and anything that might be found lacking? I am quite aware of it and shall do my best to distract from that bon mot.

What colorful bickering! And quite well-versed travelers, I would be safe to assume.

{Smiling}

Ne, you two really have an odd kind of friendship, you know.

[identity profile] madamemoiselle.livejournal.com 2009-09-24 02:59 am (UTC)(link)
{She pauses, because the Master has the unfortunate quality of looking/sounding like Sam.}

Ah...Then what are you?

[identity profile] oikoumene.livejournal.com 2009-09-24 03:01 am (UTC)(link)
Ha, indeed! I had thought myself a well-traveled man until I came here and realized that the world stretched farther than I ever imagined. So, at least you know of what there is to wander?

[identity profile] ambitious-woman.livejournal.com 2009-09-24 03:03 am (UTC)(link)
That would imply that he takes notice of it.

[she meets his bow with her own deep curtsy]

Did the book offer any new, invaluable information?

[identity profile] rude-not-ginger.livejournal.com 2009-09-24 03:06 am (UTC)(link)
Isn't that what you've got him for? [nods to his other self] Or aren't you in that line of work anymore?

[identity profile] imnot-hisgirl.livejournal.com 2009-09-24 03:07 am (UTC)(link)
You don't have to speak for him, Saxon.

[identity profile] scienceandgod.livejournal.com 2009-09-24 05:32 am (UTC)(link)
[Though Arthur is feeling better than before, he's still sniffling a bit] Are humans listed as animals now?

[identity profile] lovethepossum.livejournal.com 2009-09-24 09:57 am (UTC)(link)
[Guess who latched onto the dead bit?] ...I dunno if you can reanimate rocks; they didn't do a class on it or anything.

[identity profile] oldoldghost.livejournal.com 2009-09-24 10:00 am (UTC)(link)
[Brigitta looks a tiny bit disappointed when the Doctor pops up; her pointy object has to go away now...] What does it say on humans?

[identity profile] salvagestime.livejournal.com 2009-09-24 11:15 am (UTC)(link)
My tea happens to be very good. It isn't my fault if you have no taste.

[identity profile] salvagestime.livejournal.com 2009-09-24 11:16 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, he's getting offended over things. Nothing unusual.

[identity profile] salvagestime.livejournal.com 2009-09-24 11:17 am (UTC)(link)
[Wheee ignoring the Master!]

Martha! Hullo, remember that? The I-Spyder.
