[there's a certain trend one might notice among CID members. you see, whenever someone from CID is upset, you can generally find them at the bar. (unless it's that mouthy plonk Annie, because she a) never gets sad and b) 's a bird and therefore goes all weepy and shit instead of being a manly man and hiding her grief in booze) AT ANY RATE, one might notice that Gene just happens to be at the bar. he's shooting back whiskies without much care, a growing pile at his right, but if you come near him he'll adamantly deny anything's wrong.

after all, Diva all ready had a breakdown over Sam. he's not about to be a bloody div and do it, too. pffft, that's just silly.

so anyway, Gene's at the bar, which is his second home anyway. approach him if you want]

{So Diva reappears after quite a while, actually, right where she dropped off the Plane. She's wearing a fancy dress and coat, but her "lipstick" is running. Diva doesn't pay any attention to Gene, just starts walking away, murmuring lightly}

Ne, I guess I'll need new ones...

[he sees her and looks up, a very nasty feeling in his gut]

And what's that, luv?

What is what?

{But she'll keep walking}

[and he'll get up and grab her shoulder to spin her around]

What did you do?

She cut herself.

Ne, she did. She cut her finger on my dress~

{Diva holds up her own finger, and it seems like she's about to touch Gene, but instead she uses it to wipe the blood trailing down her chin off, and puts that finger in her mouth}

[he's gonna grab her by the front of that pretty dress, shaking her] The hell did you do, Diva?

{She doesn't flinch, just looks away, her head kind of lulling back as she giggles}

I had a snack. I hadn't eaten since Dr. Crane gave me that blood. I couldn't help it. It didn't taste that good, though.

[he doesn't know who Crane is but he's now on his shitlist]
