26 Wake upand make it count

[Contrary to popular opinion, and despite his best wishes, Jack does indeed sleep. Not that he's doing so as the moment, but he has woken up quite recently. This leaves him half groggy, running a hand through his bed hair as he yawns.

Since he usually passes out for these things, he's at least properly dressed, white shirt and something akin to dress pants, but not quite. He's shoes are nowhere to be seen, though]

[The Doctor can't help chuckling softly.] Yes, well, why are those sorts always armed? That's what I would like to know.

[The Doctor will ignore this, because of the pure and simple reason that they have arrived at the kitchen and food > all.]

Well, possibly. We could sit around analysing the psychoses of that village. Or we could get milkshakes.

And I'm leaning chocolate, I think. Or banana. Maybe strawberry. Orange is always a nice surprise.

I can handle quite a few milkshakes. Let's see if I can make this work right...

[He opens and closes the fridge door, playing with it a bit.] What flavour would you like?

[He sends him a grin.] Oddly traditional of you.

[He messes with the fridge more until he pulls out a few pitchers of milkshake. He gets some tall glasses out and slides Jack's over. His own, well, it ends up being a blend of several layers of flavours.]

[The Doctor is already halfway done with his first glass. He licks at his lips and wipes his mouth before speaking.] I do remember once eating seven sundaes right in the middle of an adventure. I felt a bit odd but nothing terrible.

[He grins.] I was when I woke up, yes. Fairly certain I still am.

[He laughs and finishes off his mutant milkshake.] And now you've had a very good breakfast, I think. Better than kippers.

It depends on the take-out, really. Some of it is twice as brilliant the next day.

Haven't had that in a long time, so I can't quite remember, really. But I'll take your word for it.

Ah, bit more fond of tea in that department. I remember in my...fourth, I think, yes, I used to have jelly babies and tea for breakfast. Excellent way to get the day started. Or whatever time it happened to be wherever I was.

I believe the appropriate phrase here is, 'you're just jealous'.
