[oh look, it's a wild Straxus back on the Plane, sans gloves and that cap, and is currently wandering around aimlessly, having already taken a little stroll through the forest and is on his way to...something. he doesn't wander because he's lost but because there's so much to see and currently, he's stopped in his tracks and thinking of where to go next.

the Plane's free from Gallifrey's eyes, and most assuredly from the CIA and the High Council--he's been busy discreetly checking his sources for such a thing in the reports--and such a degree of, well, he hesitates to use the word "freedom" because really, he loves his people and his world. but it's a change and if there's something the general populace of Time Lords don't adapt well to, it's change.

of course, the downside of the lack of surveillance on the Plane is that no one will ever believe him about the Doctor surviving his fall, Omega being alive, or that the Master is for that matter (not that he's bothered to tell anybody, not even Coordinator Bulek) and boy, is he still smarting from that last encounter with that particular renegade Time Lord. still, that doesn't mean he's going to avoid the Plane because of one lunatic.

[shrugs] Drop him back off in the TARDIS. Be back in a mo'. [and with that, he scoops his new companion up and steps off the Plane, before reappearing a few short moments later, looking somewhat more cheerful] Come on then, this way! [leads Straxus to the bar!]

[he's still going to have to get used to that whole disappearing/reappearing thing. but he waits and can't help wondering if the Doctor is a little too eager to have a drink when the man returns. still, he follows.]

This is...a rather odd sight, then again, everything else here seems so as well.

You get used to it after a bit, trust me. ...Not that I've been here long myself, mind you. [and he makes himself a rather strong drink, gesturing around the place] Help yourself, this place seems to refill itself.

[has a look around, not really recognising many of the alcohols.] Somehow...I'm not surprised it does. [picks up a bottle of gin and shrugs, figuring he might as well try it.] And you don't find that suspicious?

[looks slightly amused when Straxus picks up the bottle of gin, before shaking his head] 'Course it's suspicious, but nothing in here's killed anyone yet. ...Least, not that I know of.

[pours himself a small glass of the gin, but is rather dubious about trying it.]

[and to prove it, he has a big gulp of it--and proceeds to sputter and gag because his tongue wasn't expecting that.]

[coughs. a lot. his voice cracks when he first speaks] I'm fine. [and if he weren't coughing, he would've frowned in your direction, Doctor.] What the hell kind of alcohol was that?!

[pats him on the back a bit, still horribly amused] Gin. Helps a bit if you mix it with things, and don't drink it so fast. [which you know, he could've told Straxus earlier, but then he wouldn't have gotten this priceless reaction]

Here, try one of these. Gin and tonic, it's a classic. [and he snatches the bottle of gin, mixing it with some tonic water and pouring it over ice, before garnishing it with a slice of lemon. he'd be a terrible bartender, but he does know how to make a tasty drink.]

[chuckles] You get used to it. [pauses] You might prefer a sweeter drink, like a daiquiri. The banana ones are fantastic. [and the image of Straxus drinking fruity drinks is equally hilarious, for obvious reasons] That's got rum in it though, not gin.

[grins - he's just being difficult for kicks, sorry Straxus XD] Rum's a bit sweeter, since it comes from molasses and sugarcane juice, instead of grain. Less of that nice burning sensation involved.
