[the newly arrived Time Lord is quiet as he first takes in his surroundings, his boots lightly thumping on the metal ground as he walks in a slow circle to see where the hell he is.]

What sort of place is this? This can't be right... [his nose wrinkles somewhat as he smells something he can't quite place, but his attentions are soon elsewhere.] Nothing adds up correctly. Not the stars, the ground, none of it. Just where the hell am I?

Oh, if that girl did anything to my Time Ring... It's one thing to grieve, but to take it out on somebody else's personal property--!

No, it's just acting up. Damnable thing. If they'd just given me a TARDIS, none of this would've happened! [of course he's lying to himself, knowing full well why he couldn't have a TARDIS previously.]

[he falls silent for a moment, folding his arms in front of his chest.]

I wonder why we've never heard about this place before. The High Council will be very interested to hear about this.

{Having just had a generally unpleasant experience with a Time Lord, Diva is not all too happy to see you. Well, she assumes that you're a Time Lord because of the talk about TARDISes and time. It's a good assumption.

[Well, that's a surprise--one he keeps from entering his expression and merely arches an eyebrow at her.]

Another Time Lord? What do you mean by that, you...[definitely doesn't recognise her as a Time Lord.]...whatever you are?

You can call me Diva. There are actually quite a few of them here. Well, some of them are the same. There are a few Doctors, and two Masters, and I just met one named Omega recently. But the Doctors and even the Masters are much more polite.

More than one Doctor?! ...That's highly disturbing. [Not to mention multiple Masters and Omega. Give him a moment and he'll process that.]

[Handy is just staring, and strongly considering turning tail right about now. Except it's like staring into the sun or something - he knows it's going to end badly, but he just can't look away quite yet]

Oh you - [he assumes he meant to sound annoyed. He hesitates then shakes his head] No, never mind, of course not. [straightens up a bit, crossing his arms over his chest and gives Straxus his best unimpressed look] Besides that, if anyone is looking in need of help here I'd say it's you.

You would not need a TARDIS regardless. After a while you will find it quite simple to come and go as you please, I think.

[her smile lifts by a few degrees]

Which is quite gratifying to those of us without access to such wonders.

The High Council wouldn't know what to do with it even if the could do something about it. You're one of their errand boys, aren't you? Of all the people---and we were doing so good with getting a Founder and everything.

[Frowns at him. Another time lord, but...which one? no, no, that attitude--but he's distracted by that "errand boy" bit. It makes him bristle and he straightens himself up first before answering.] I'm a representative of the High Council, not an "errand boy" I'll have you know.

Is this place secretly a convention for wannabe astronomers or something? Like, it's less important you're standing in space, more important that all the stars are in the right place. That you're standing in.

"Wannabe"? [gives him an odd look. more human slang, probably.] This isn't outer space, young man, not where I'm standing. This ground is the first clue. [taps his foot.] But the stars should be in the right positions. It's a clear and simple fact of the universe and moving them out of sequence ahead of their time could cause a catastrophe of monumental scale!
