[Peri Brown appears on the Plane, stumbling like she just stopped running. she looks much like any of the Doctors who knew her might remember, with one exception. her brown hair is cut in the same short bob and she is wearing impractical wedge shoes as always, but there is a glaring lack of spandex leotards. instead she's wearing khaki shorts and white-and-blue-striped boatnecked tank top. well-endowed chest is still there, however.]

Woah ... what happened here? Where am I? D-Doctor? ... A-Anyone?

[she turns in a few circles, looking around her with increasing concern]

Can anyone hear me?

[to herself] I thought that store was weird ... the Doctor said I could go shopping and that place just seemed to pull me in--and I didn't even recognize the name of the store. And those twins. Creepy ...

[louder] Doctor?! This isn't funny!

[slumps down miserably on the nearest rock] ... I have a headache.

You--you regenerated? Again? W-what happened, I only just went in the store ...!

[rolls his eyes and mutters something about apes under his breath] This place is sort of a space-time nexus, Peri. I'm from the future. Possibly a different universe. Your Doctor's still the same.

[sizing Peri up a little. She fidgets then straightens herself, standing a little taller and maybe trying to look a little more poised. Finally she holds out a hand]

--O-Oh. [has the grace to look sheepish, but still confused and wary] So, you're kind of like ... the other you I just met, but older. [she's referring to the Second Doctor; she just left Seville]

[looks around at the landscape before her] All things considered you've taken me to worse places, Doctor, but this just looks creepy.

Really? Me too ... well, three really.

[also participates in the awkward sizing-up, and takes Rose's hand to shake hesitantly, but firmly. even though she just left Jamie in Seville she's still not sure what to make of past/future companions of the Doctor]

[let the preening/posturing begin? Hah]

[nods, remembering] Yeah, sort of. [pauses, and chuckles at the last bit] Creepy? Nah, it's fantastic! And you can pop right back home if you want, you've just got to think about it. You'll end up exactly where and when you left.

[takes her hand back, wringing them a little, biting her lip, then straightens herself out, back to posturing and preening and sizing up]

Any of them tall skinny blokes with great big hair? Just cause I'm wondering if you came about before or after I met the Doctor is all.

[takes this in] So ... what's the point of being here? If I can just go back? I mean ... usually if I wind up someplace strange with you, it's never good.

[looks out at the infinite dark, tucking a stray bit of hair behind her ear, trying not to too-obviously glance at him out of the corner of her eye]

[is not sure she likes the tone of voice inherent in 'that long', and unconsciously crosses her arms] Well, depends on how you long you think long would be ... I guess I've been with the Doctor close to a year now, my time. Hard to keep track of time, and all. [awkward laugh]

[thinks on this, her eyebrows scrunching up] Well, the Doctor I first met was tall and, well, trim, but I wouldn't say he has big hair. The one I'm with now .... urgh. Words can't describe what he looks like.

[can't help a brief look of annoyance: he sounds a lot like her Doctor, making her think too hard and stammer and setting her up to maybe look stupid. nevertheless, she gives it some thought]

Well, if I'm here and you're here .... [finally shrugs] I don't know, Doctor. Is someone collecting us?

[looks at her, and isn't sure what to say to that, and maybe there is a little sympathy there. she offers a smile and an awkward laugh at the last bit.]

Really? Oh now you can't leave it at that, you gotta tell me what he's gone and done to get that sorta description.
