[the little girl stops in her tracks, the ice skates she's holding falling to the 'ground' with a clatter as she stares at her surroundings. she was quite certain she'd just been in London -- and this doesn't look a thing like London. this doesn't even look a thing like Blackpool, which she's always been told loves this sort of thing.

spinning around, she is surprised to see the little shoppe she'd been visiting is gone, replaced by more of these absolutely impossible stars. and if there's no shoppe, there's no way home.

in a very unladylike fashion, the little girl plops down beside her skates, taking deep breaths. she's British -- there must be a very good explanation for this, and if there isn't, she'll just pretend there is and go about like nothing happened. as soon as she starts breathing properly, of course. her father is going to be so upset.

speaking of, the girl looks down at the skates, tugging a lace]

I suppose we won't be going skating after all...

Well... a few weeks ago I woke up from a coma I had been in for about half a year.

How dreadful! Did that hurt?

Being knocked into it hurt, and waking up from it hurt, I guess, since my muscles weren't used to moving anymore.

Were you hit by a trolly or something?

Trolly... oh! No. Weirder than that. I was attacked by something strange in the video game I was playing, and it pulled... basically my mind... into my character, and I collapsed in the real world.

A video game? Honestly? That's such a silly thing to say. [frowns] But I guess it's not so weird as standing in space, is it?

Really.

... And I guess not. [Derp derp. Smiles.]

[giggles] I like it here, though. You're a rather strange fellow, but I like you, too.
