--ather will be so pleas...ed
[the little girl stops in her tracks, the ice skates she's holding falling to the 'ground' with a clatter as she stares at her surroundings. she was quite certain she'd just been in London -- and this doesn't look a thing like London. this doesn't even look a thing like Blackpool, which she's always been told loves this sort of thing.
spinning around, she is surprised to see the little shoppe she'd been visiting is gone, replaced by more of these absolutely impossible stars. and if there's no shoppe, there's no way home.
in a very unladylike fashion, the little girl plops down beside her skates, taking deep breaths. she's British -- there must be a very good explanation for this, and if there isn't, she'll just pretend there is and go about like nothing happened. as soon as she starts breathing properly, of course. her father is going to be so upset.
speaking of, the girl looks down at the skates, tugging a lace]
I suppose we won't be going skating after all...
[ooc; Experiment start!]

And what kinds of thing does Lucy like to do?
no subject
Oh, lots of things! I like to go shopping, or sit in with Father during his business sessions at home. Politics is really interesting, even if I'm not very good at it. And playing games! Though most of the girls at school don't play with me, and I don't think they'd like what I do play. [gives Diva a conspiratorial look] I think they'd think I was weird.

Is it? That doesn't seem to weird to me!
{Then again, when Diva was "little", she was pulling legs off humans. Uh.}
no subject
Really? It doesn't? [best. friend. EVAR] You aren't like any of the high-class ladies I usually see. They'd think I was strange, but you don't.
Do you like to play games, Diva?
no subject
{She almost falls, but catches herself} I-I do! What sort of game do you have in mind?
no subject
[careful, Diva D:] Well, how about tag? Or we can race! I bet I can beat you to the other side of the rink!
no subject
O-Oh! Sure, that's fine! I bet that you will, though, since I'm terrible.
no subject
Well, maybe I can teach you, then?
no subject
Ah, I'd like that, then! I only went skating with Solomon a few times, and he was basically carrying me.
no subject
Solomon? Is he your father?

{Warmly} But what kind of sad life has Lucy had? It seems impossible for a little girl like you to have a sad life.
Oh, no. He was my...servant, really. But he was a good friend.
no subject
[pauses in her skating, jabbing the blade into the ice] Well, no one really talks to me, since they think I'm weird. And Father spends most of his time with my sisters and not me.
A servant, really? I want servants. I bet they're fun to have.

{Diva tries to skate closer to speak to Lucy sympathetically, but she sucks and falls instead. She topples onto Lucy, but Diva shows her strength and speed at a good time, at least. One hand is holding Lucy up to prevent her from hitting the ice while Diva's other hand's palm is flat against the ice---but her fingers are buried deep into the ice to keep them both propped up carefully.
Diva pauses a moment, realizing that she'd moved kind of without thinking about it, and laughs nervously, setting Lucy down gently and starting to pry her fingers out of the ice}
Ne, I'm sorry! Goodness, I'm really useless on the ice, aren't I?

How...?

...are you an alien?

I'm more like something from a storybook. A vampire, actually.

I think it'd be amazing to live forever, especially if I were as beautiful as you. Everyone would love me for hundreds and thousands of years!
