[Kuhn has brought a laptop with him and is furiously typing away on it. When he's not doing that, he's staring intently at the screen as though the thing will speak to him at any moment and all he needs to be doing is listening.

No such luck.

With a groan, he closes the laptop and pretty much smacks his forehead against the top of it.]

Kinda funny how I bring my work here so I don't have to work overtime in reality, but it's still working overtime and I'm just not getting paid for it. Man, I really need to work on my priorities...

Just doing some work with computers. Making sure nothing will break when we release it to the public.

Work. Don't really feel like staying in the office overtime tonight. I'm meeting some friends. So, i figured I'd bring my work to the plane. [He shrugs a shoulder.]

You know, in theory? This shouldn't take too much longer. ... In theory.

I mean what sort of thing are you working on? What kind of project?

Nothing near as interesting as what you brought here that one time, that's for sure. [A laugh]

I'm just running through the code of the next patch for the game, making sure everything's smooth. I've found a few problems already, but I'm not quite sure how to fix them yet.

Kuhn sits back up and opens the laptop again, grumbling.] Man, I don't wanna do this... Oh well.

Oh, hey Haseo, didn't see you there. [He gives her a tired sort of half-smile.]

I'm just finishing up some work. Low-level coding and stuff.

Hm. Been a while. [She nods, and absently scratches at her neck for a moment - where one of the bandages was during the experiment, that is. Looks like somebody's not quite over that yet.]

Oh. Righto then. [Pause. Curiosity killed the Grunty, buuuut--] What's coding?

Yeah it has. Keeping busy? Things in Mac Anu going okay?

[Oh. Right. No computers. Ahaha... oh dear.] People use code to tell a computer what to do. [He gestures to the screen, which has lines and lines of said code in a window.] Coding is actually writing the stuff, fixing the stuff, making it actually work... that sort of thing.

Ne, but it's important to get the work done, right? People work here a lot.

Yeah, it's important. And the sooner it gets done, the better.

[He sits up straighter so he can give her a smile.]

I just wonder why I'm not taking advantage of overtime pay... guess I just wasn't thinking, huh?

Oh, you don't need to worry about that. If you work hard, don't you get a reward in the end anyways?

Just my usual salary. Maybe a bonus if I go a little over and beyond the call of duty. [He shrugs a shoulder.] Hey, I figure, at least I don't hate my job, which is more than I can say for a lot of the people I know. Sad, huh?

Actually? I have two jobs. I work at CC Corp. as a low-level computer programmer, and the rest of the time I work at a video game arcade. It's nice, having one job where you do the harder work and the other job where you can actually interact with people.

Do you work, my star? I'd think someone as lovely as yourself wouldn't need to, but you never know these days.
