[Frog appears on the Plane for the first time in a long while. His armor is scratched and scorched in places, and his cape is ragged, but he seems physically fine. The problem is his temper. He's pacing back and forth in barely-withheld rage, fists shaking, eyes narrowed.]

That pale-faced, scheming bastard—! He believes he can hide!? I will follow him to the edges of time if need be!

[He stomps his way over to the bar to get himself some ale, because damn it, he needs something.]

How dare he. How dare he! I'd sooner forsake my kingdom than be blamed for something by the likes of Magus!

[Ever seen a Frog down a mug in ten seconds? You have now!]

[Remus hangs back, for a bit, until the tirade hits a lull; then he approaches the bar, looking concerned]

[his gaze is sharp, roving, checking for injuries; Glenn seems in a mood to ignore any he might have]

[Ayla's done a wonder on Crono and friends, but he's still dirty. He's been fighting for months, it seems. Frog refills his mug while speaking.] Aye, Remus. We confronted him and won. The Masamune did not fail, and I daresay we fought valiantly to stop Magus from creating Lavos and bringing about the destruction of the world. [He takes a long draught of the ale and sets the mug down.]

But then... we learned the truth.

[an awed smile as he listens, though it's muted by worry] That's brilliant, Glenn. I knew you could do it.

[and then he sighs, because it's never that easy] What did you learn?

He still lives... and yet... [He shakes his head. He's just confused by the whole thing.]

... Lavos was not an invention of Magus' hand. It has been sleeping inside the planet for generations. That doesn't make Magus particularly innocent, but that creature's interference separated us and now we are stranded in ancient times.

Finding Magus will most likely be impossible; he's probably fled now that we've robbed him of his strength.

[OHAIIII] ... Amane. [He sounds weary, but it's not Amane's fault.] T'was a setback. It seems we all have been chasing the wrong demon lord.

The monster we've been seeking to circumvent has slept inside the planet for millions of years, harvesting its energy, and waiting for the time to strike.
